He was a low 1st round/high 2nd rounder. Worse players have decided to declare in the past. The NiL absolutely has an impact on these types of players now. And guys like Banchero (what...top 3 pick?) should never, EVER consider NiL. They'd be throwing away $10s of millions of dollars. Bad example. If you're waiting to see them stay...you're going to be waiting a long, long time.

But I do agree there may be some minor impact given the current situation in Europe. I don't think most 19-23 year olds put too much weight on it, but their parents/handlers/certified agents might.

I was thinking late 2nd to undrafted. But only takes 1 team to have a "need" at something he does well to get into early/middle 2nd. 1st round seemed highly unlikely, but without combine and workouts the picture is still pretty unclear.

Tristan from Kansas to Iowa State to Cleveland State. Quite sad.

He's following Daniyal Robinson. Make of it what you will.

It's all upstairs with Tristan. Obviously great physical attributes and we saw him flash quite a bit of skill. Not consistently. Not aggressively.

Like five minutes into our first game against ISU this season I saw Dajuan get switched onto Tristan and even after touching the ball he did nothing to attack--wanted no part of the scoring. Was glad he was on someone else's team for good.

Tristan just isn't very good at basketball (relative to what we expect at KU).

Athletic ability (height, long arms, run fast, jump high) does not equal basketball potential.

I remember early in his freshman year how excited some of us were about tristan. watching him glide down the court with those long strides, handle the ball a little, eurostep around people. the guy was just ooozing with potential. crazy to think hes now heading to cleveland state

That's not really it and athleticism does go a long way with potential. Tristan's problem is more that he can fool you into thinking he has untapped potential, when really he might be at his ceiling. Both skill-wise and athleticism.

He looks hardly better now than he did when we got him. And when we got him he was 6'9", barely 18 years old, truly amidextrous, who could knock down a 3, adequately handle the ball on the perimeter, and score with his left hand over his right shoulder.

Today, all of that is the same except he is now 3 years older.

I guess so. Kid could definitely knock down a 3pt shot 16times in 3 years. Not sure that's a flex though.

DH is a far superior 3pt shooter than Enaruna. Marcus Garrett is a superior 3pt shooter to Enaruna as well.

Those aren't guys we usually praise for their shooting ability.

Enaruna isn't even close to his potential cnb. He's just kind of missing that fire. The combination of confidence competitiveness and drive just hasn't taken him from being a good college prospect to a good college player yet

A guy with physical tools like enaranu never hits his ceiling in college. They are still so young and continuing to improve at that age
