Wut?
They lost in Game 7 of the Finals.
The Lakers weren’t even in the expanded playoffs.

73 wins. Didn't win a title. That's a giant failure in my personal opinion.

A big enough failure that Steph and Dray contemplated on his podcast the other day whether they'd trade their other titles to have won a title that year.

Lakers were a big failure, I said it may be the biggest failure ever, but they had a poorly constructed roster and a ton of injuries. The failure is magnified because of the media hype around that team. They simply weren't as good as people expected (hoped).

A A without winning a title as one of the most winningest teams in history? In a 7 game series format where a TON of emphasis should be placed on postseason results?

I did say "failure SEASON".
Similar to the 15/16 Warriors, I would say the 2007 Patriots "failed" to win the Super Bowl - but I would hardly consider their SEASON a failure.

Way moreso than college (or NFL), i place the vast majority of season success in NBA on postseason results because they are playing 7 game series where I think (barring injuries) the better team wins the vast majority of the time.

They won the most games in regular season history.
They lost to LeBron James in the Finals in Game 7 by 3 points - and Draymond Green was out for a game of that series.
It's an A for me.

And Bogut went down about 5 minutes into Game 5. Same game Draymond was suspended for I believe.

Losers always win the play-hard chart (Weber) and in life (Drew).

This grizz twolves game has been nuts. Wolves up by 20+ like 2 or 3 different times...and now it's tied. Grizz have had a few 15-20pt runs to fight back.

The individual quarter scores for this game are nuts.

In the other game Kleber is giving Gobert problems again. The Utah defense is sort of built on funneling guys to Gobert for blocks, but Mavs are trying to force him to the perimeter to open up lanes for the other guys. And when Kleber is shooting out of his mind it is tough to help off him.

For those that dislike NBA, Minnesota is a perfect example why. They literally run almost no offense half of their possessions. Just stand around and dribble looking lost. Their coach just stands there making faces.

Chris Finch should give his paycheck back.

He should be fired before they leave the arena.

The Dallas starting center Dwight Powell is the only person with a negative +/- on their team tonight (-9 currently).

Jazz defense sucks.
And they have a annual DPOY year candidate.
So what’s that say about the rest of em?

I wondered if the Grizz pulled a KU last night and have since read......
Historically, the Grizzlies' 26-point comeback in Game 3 was bested in the postseason by only the 2019 LA Clippers, who trailed Golden State by 31 points, and the 2012 Clippers, who trailed the Grizzlies by 27.

Looks like Luka may be back for game 4. I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas lost WITH him. Clearly their chemistry has been good without him.
I watched Brunson play in person in HS and in college. Figured the kid would be a nice pro but not a 32 points per game in the playoffs pro.

If someone told me three seasons ago that Jordan Poole would be an "x-factor" for the Warriors in the 2022 NBA Playoffs I would have asked them how much weed they smoked. Another kid who I thought might be a nice NBA player but never expected him to lead his team in scoring in a playoff series when he had Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, and Draymond on the team too. All I can say is the rest of the Western Conference teams are fucked if he continues to play this well. Heck, they may be fucked if he doesn't play another game. Warriors are awfully good.

Worthless predictions for tonight and I do NOT feel good about any of them. You should probably bet against me/my predictions.
Bulls win by 4
Hawks win by 3
Suns win by 6

I expect the Jazz roster to look very different next year if they lose this series to the Mavs.

They went with Paschall over Gobert for streches last night to try to adjust to Mavs going to Kleber.
