I'm thinking if I am a flight attendant I am not intervening in a Tyson "fight". Tyson is a lot different now than he was 10-20 years ago. That guy was clearly drunk and harassing him. You can only push a crazy fucker so far before they snap, no matter how much they have changed.

17 years at the same job and today is one of the top 5 days I have felt this way.

Last night I decided to walk home along the lakefront. I started at Oak Street Beach and there were two police officers standing by the staircase at the entrance to the lakefront "trail". I asked them if they wanted to check my bag (laptop bag / brief case). One responded - "No, as long as you don't have any alcohol". I said I didn't (true) and started to walk on my merry way. I then turned around and asked - "I don't, but what if I have a gun - would that be that ok"? They looked at each other and didn't answer.
Point of my sharing that is......
How screwed up is it that police care more about people (of all ages - even legal drinking age/s) consuming alcohol than they do about people carrying weapons (legally and illegally)?
I ask that being there was a fiasco at North Avenue Beach (and then the surrounding neighborhood) last night that yet again proved the police are basically powerless against "mob" behavior - with seemingly no competent plan/s in place to combat it from beginning in the first place. Seems NOTHING preventative is ever put in place other than maybe stationing a couple of cops nearby - and then it's all reactionary response/s.
No, I don't have the solution/s but I am not an elected leader nor am I a police superintendent. If they can't fix what is severely "broken" then we need to get leadership that can.
