Elon's newest small clone's name has no discernible characters. It is just an extraterrestrial sound that can only be heard through headphones they give you when you meet.

What did the Italians do to deserve that?
This is an excellent point.

Space Dust IPA is one of the best. Day Glow (if you can find it) is also amazing.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

It's late. Mrs. 99 is in bed. I've had too many beerzos. Opened the balcony door to check out the ocean. Wow, that's some sweet, stinky weed. One of our neighbors is having a good Ole time.

One night in Rome is not enough.

But that sounds magical.

Turn off the phone and walk around in Venice and try and make your way back home. It ain’t easy especially after a few drinks.
So, yeah, Venice without a smart phone is a fucking maze.

So, Venice.

Would recommend 1000/1000.

The no cars/bikes/scooters thing is amazing. Island of Burano definitely worth a day trip. Also attended the Venezia FC match on Sunday. 4-3 with a 90+3 game winner to prevent being relegated. (Highly likely to still get relegated but their alive for another week!)

Spent 6 hours in Verona this morning and would probably not recommend unless you’re a huge Shakespeare fan. Castelvecchio Museum was alright.

I forget if Venice is the beginning of your trip but you'll need to save space on that rating system.
There are a LOT better places in Italy than Venice.

Padua is a better experience than Verona. Probably too late now.

Yeah, on the train to Como now. 3 days in the low 80’s!

We just thought having a pit stop on a travel day would be fun and Verona is as an easy pick logistically. Doing the same thing with Geneo and Pisa later in the trip. Probably only 2-3 hours at those two.

The train-ride views to Pisa were better than Pisa. So don't sleep. That was my recollection.

zsn wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 9:35 am Best pizza in Como - Cafe Riva, around the corner from the main piazza. Also check out Degustaria. It’s a restaurant specializing in black truffles. In the same street/alley is a family run place called Osteria Gallo. You’ll need to reserve but a couple of days notice is sufficient.

Bellagio is overrated although worth stopping for a few minutes on the way to Varenna. I recommend the latter highly. The funicular up to Brunate is cool

On the boat back to Como after spending the day in Bellagio, Menaggio, and Varrena. The hike to Castillo di Vezio the best part of the trip. All three were fun though. Going to Degustaria tonight.

The Eurail pass was so very much worth it.
Switzerland and Northern Italy, the very best views.

Degustaria did not disappoint. Ricotta & Spinach Tortelli with Black Truffle. 10/10 would recommend. After dinner I found a little pub to watch the Copa Italia Final. Quite the experience.

Glad you enjoyed Degustaria. Many little pubs between there and the lake. Our favorite is Panino Buono - the best part are the little munchies that they bring out with the drinks.

One of the fun parts of the world. Almost seems like it’s hard to have a bad day there

Campi flegrei at Riva Cafe for dinner tonight. Another A+ recommendation.

Spent all day today in Switzerland (Locarno and Lugano). Tomorrow is a travel/transition day. Como to Milan to Genoa to Monterossa al Mare (Cinque Terre).

Opera tomorrow night in Vernazza
