aka, 5+ wins (hopefully)
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I do like in that video series they did, the OC Kotelnicki mentioned their objective last year was eliminating bad football. They did that as they didn’t turn the ball over a ton, became one of the most penalized teams in the conference to the least.

This year is about finishing drives and being explosive.

Not only did they cut down on turnovers, they made MASSIVE strides in allowing far fewer sacks. In 2021, they allowed 16 sacks in 12 games. That was tied for 17th-fewest in the nation. In 2020, in just 9 games, they gave up 47, more than 5 per game. That's pretty damn impressive for an immediate fix to that issue.

We lost a lineman we could have used.

Kid made it clear he was just waiting for a Pac-12 school to offer him and he'd flip. I'm sure the staff will be offering another JUCO or transfer OL to fill that spot.

Another Big 10 safety coming. Started all 13 games last year. 2nd on Purdue in tackles. Big time.

I thought going into the offseason there was some talent in the KU secondary but they were all freshmen. Leipold has done a great job bringing in quality, experienced guys that are going to contribute right away on the back end of the defense. Grant is a great get.

Really excited about Marvin Grant coming to KU; dude hits like a freight train and has a knack for forcing fumbles. The secondary is looking better and better...

This staff has quietly gone about building a more experienced and talented secondary. I am sure Kalon Gervin will start at CB and Marving Grant will start at S next to Kenny Logan. We'll also see a lot of Craig Young in the hybrid S/LB position. I know the running back transfers made a splash and they will make a difference on offense, especially behind an offensive line that returns 4 of 5 starters, but the defense could look much better this fall.

Anyone heard any more about the Houston game getting changed out? It would be great if that happens and it becomes an easy home game.

Select-a-seat for football in 1 hour...getting excited for the upcoming season.

Not sure, but the game has been schedule for a game time and TV. Sept 17 at 3pm on ESPNU

So that’s odd that’s the only thing to come out. I just know Houston was wanting to join Big12 this upcoming year, and barring some unforeseen change, don’t think it’s going to happen.

Just seems odd that we would essentially be agreeing to a one game series if this game stands. Right?

What I have heard is that KU still really, REALLY wants to get out of that game but Houston knows that and is using that to their advantage right now. Wouldn't be shocked to see the switch not happen but KU is still going to try.

Silly to agree to a series with Houston with a road game to begin it. But that is where the school was.
