That wrap up montage was some of the best TV ever.

Uplifting, sad, heartbreaking.
That last shot of the bad kids closing in on Randy was tough to watch.
So I never realized (until reading notes by the creator) that Cheese (last name Wagstaff) is Randy's (last name Wagstaff) biological father in the show, and Prop Joe is his Uncle. The never make that connection outloud or obvious on the show, but another reason it is so good. So many subtle ties and depth of character stories.

Was that Dukie shooting up (in the final montage)? I have watched the whole series probably 3 times and see something new every time.

This link has a cool breakdown of each gang or organization.

I also love how the final scene shows Chris and Wee-Bay as friends in prison.

Just so much to take in. You really have to watch the series multiple times to appreciate the depth.

I thought it was...fine. I guess the point is that there really is no escape for the Byrdes? I thought it was extremely ham-handed to use the PI to get Jonah to spill blood.
Killing of Ruth is garbage. Should of ended with her rising to the top.
I suppose. But I also think the point is that there really isn't some sort of cosmic justice.

Is that a remake of the 1970s show?

I never saw the 70s show but I’m 99.9 percent confident they are not connected.

Its a comedy/drama (movie) about two black college students faced with an emergency but hesitant to deal with the police.

Superbad vibes but with a bit more reality/feels.

I DVR'd Theodore Roosevelt, a two part series on History. Done by Doris Kearns Goodwin. It's pretty good. Has TR's great grandson in it.

TR was an interesting mix of old money conservative and new age progressive who actually fought for the little guy. I also did not realize that his wife and mother passed away within a few hours of each other.

Worth seeking out.

Yeah, no matter how justified you are, if you kill the son of the head of a drug cartel, you are not going to get to live.

We're watching Stranger Things Season 4 now but it seems to be pretty absurd as well. More effort was put into the "look how many 1983 pop culture references we can make" than into writing a decent script.

I like this season.
But I love 80s horror ( and D&D ) so makes sense.
Very Nightmare on Elm Street feel.

Classic religion v science, what makes a man different than a machine etc.
Good visuals too.
If you liked Ex Machina or Westworld or hell, even Star Wars, this series is a must watch.

The Swarm was the last of a trio of disaster movies by Irwin Allen. They all had an elaborate cast. The first two were good - Towering Inferno and Poseidon Adventure. Prompted a lot of parodies!!
