we aren’t even playing ball at this very moment
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The defending national champion Jayhawks will meet Duke in the Champions Classic on Nov. 15 in Indianapolis. The Classic will not signal the start of the college basketball season this year.

KU will play an exhibition game against Pittsburg State on Nov. 2 at Allen Fieldhouse, then home games against Omaha on Nov. 7 and North Dakota State on Nov. 10 prior to the Duke game

Yes! Love that it’s not the first game.

I can understand where you're coming from but I was very much looking forward to starting off Jon Scheyer at 0-1.

The two are not mutually exclusive. It’s just not OUR first game. Scheyer could still be 0-1 after playing us. Don’t know if they play another game before facing us

World Cup will be a good sports break besides football this holiday season.

Hasn't Scheyer already coached a game or 2 when K was out sick? Or do those not count officially?

Basketball reference has him with four wins but most only count wins as head coach.
He wasn't a head coach.

Duke opens at home against Jacksonville on Nov. 7th prior to playing KU at the Champions Classic.

So we’ll make Scheyer start 0-2 😀
