Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

if my own first-hand anecdotes are any indication, getting enough people to change their ways and reduce consumption/demand seems like a pie-in-the-sky plan

Is judicial activism more acceptable if you agree with the outcome?

Is it about process or outcome?

judicial activism is LITERALLY when the judiciary sets aside government acts through judicial review

er go, ruling to overturn powers granted by congress

this particular ruling is very much an instance of that

But is it the process or the outcome that bothers you?

Because something tells me it's outcome driven and not process driven. If the majority were flipped and they were using judicial activism to accomplish things you persoanlly agree with I don't think you'd have any issue with it.

So judicial activism is ok if you agree with the outcome of what is being achieved.

I don't agree with judicial activism, regardless of outcome. But you can't be ok with it when it's your side and then not ok with it when it's the other side.

The left is outcome driven, process be damned. Now they're getting a taste of their own medicine. And the rest of us have to suffer the consequences.

lol…ok, guy

it’s gonna happen, regardless. it doesn’t matter whether i like it or not. no matter how much we want it to be, the Constitution isn’t a living document. therefore, the three branches of government are going to be forced to make decisions in today’s world.

news flash…there’s also executive/presidential and congressional activism

some would argue that the Bill of Rights was an activist act

there’s absolutely nothing wrong with agreeing with some activism, and disagreeing with others

but, you do you

Yea, not connecting this one.
Unless he’s saying the left went too far left so ,to punish the left, the Supreme Court handicapped the government to be able to curb emissions that are proven to be effecting our planets climate.
