There is some blame for Graham, surely, but you can pull over any driver any time. That the U.S. has some profiling issues is not new. He has no margin for error. None. Another privileged guy might hit a man while driving on the shoulder of a road impaired and texting and get the Sheriff to drive him home while concocting a story to cover himself for a dead man in the ditch.

some? dont drink and drive and you don't end up with that ticket. Dont go 65 in a 40...no ticket

I dont get this need to create narratives.

Are their profiling issues in America, seems there is.....is this an instance? It seems not. 3am, speeding, drinking. Getting pulled over seems reasonable. Do you think the cop...in the dark, at 3am with tinted windows drove up beside him to check and see the color of his skin before he hit his lights? That seems to be an absurd take in this instance.

Point is, his impairment really wasn't and speeding was alleged. I am saying driving at all is problematic for many black Americans. He can't afford to do these kinds of things.

Any time something happens to a black man, its racism. Even if its 3am, he's driving fast as fuck, and he's intoxicated, its still purely racism. Correct?

I'm pretty confident this is not an example of the actual problematic racism ingrained in a portion of the police force.

23 over the speed limit.
Barely over the legal drinking limit.

I bet he can get a diversion here.

Yeah the cop probably just pulled over a nice car for going 23 over at 3 am. And it happened to be devonte. Hell if the cop was actually racist he might have been surprised it was a black guy

Absolutely ridiculous that this topic has turned to something race-related.

QGrimes had a nice game for his Knicks summer league team last night.
I had no idea he averaged 17 minutes a game for them (the Knicks) last season.

He looked decent at the end of the season.

Played in 46 games. Started 6 of them.

I have no bad feelings towards Grimes. It didn't work out here, but he didn't cause problems or get in trouble for off court stuff. He found a better fit and had success with Houston. Good for him.

Guy who played in more regular season games at KU than Wiggins and Embiid did.
Do you know who they are?
P.S. Here is some useless trivia. Grimes scored more points in his first game and last game at KU than Embiid and Wiggins scored in their first and last games at KU.

"I can get to a program where they let me play my game, where I can take on that role and be the main guy and take my team to the next level...it was a bad situation, I get out here, I can work my game."

I know a guy who was redshirting on the team you left, who stayed, took on that role, was the main guy, took his team to the next level, worked on his game and was drafted lotto after winning B12POY, 1st Team AA and a National Title.

Grimes wanted to play a PG "type" role, which is more or less what his role was with the Knicks last year. He wasn't going to get that chance at KU.

He made a final 4 and is in the NBA.

It worked out well for both parties involved. It didn't hurt our program much. Sometimes things just don't work out and aren't a good fit.

I don't think Grimes is a bad person, or should be cheered against, because he transferred from KU.

Weird that he wanted a PG type role and ended up with the same APG in his junior year in Houston as he did his frosh year at Kansas.

In my opinion, he left the wrong way.
I'm not rooting against him.

I think Grimey very well could have had the chance to play point guard, if he willingly accepted the Bill Self Point Guard treatment

but rather than do that, he thought he was entitled to it instead.

and yea, all that drama about how he left, and bailed on the draft at the last second, and whether he burned a bridge and such

Udoka currently has a shot at the starting center position on the Jazz.
I doubt the Jazz are done with acquisitions though.
