well, it's kinda unclear.
is it the windshield wipers?
or is it the oil slick that the wipers are trying to get off the window?
or is it the first frost?

He should be alright, it’s just a sore throat. As long as he doesn’t get “long” COVID. Border Czar Kamala can handle whatever happens. Not to worry.

Yes, the snippet makes it "kinda unclear". Which was exactly the intention of the person who posted it. If you cared enough to listen to (or read about) the things he said directly before and after the snippet, you might conclude that he actually was "coherent" and that he was expressing he experienced things that many others did as well - in regards to the impact the oil industry has had on the environment and on humans.

Re: Uncle Joe
When I used to go to the beach in Delaware you would come out of the water with balls of solidified oil that looked like balls of tar stuck to your swimsuit and there were dead horseshoe crabs in the water everywhere so I know exactly what Biden is talking about there.
Re: Uncle Joe
The oil pollution was so thick in the air that when the first frost would come, the frost on your windshield would have oil in it and you had to run your wipers with fluid for a bit to clean it off. Sorry, but I experienced that as well as I lived in Delaware for several unpleasant years.
Re: Uncle Joe
dang.
you'd think a guy who personally endured that would want to dial back things like oil and gas drilling on public lands
but, here we are.

Considering that LEO retirements are up significantly nationwide and many jurisdictions are reporting that they are understaffed, this is probably a good thing. The only problem is that the entire "training" portion of the system still needs to be torn to the ground, reviewed and rebuilt. Training new recruits in the same broken system that has resulted in so many toxic law enforcement systems nationwide is part of the problem.

Thankfully we have "citizens" (not just politicians) who are getting involved in the training portion of the broken system.twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 1:00 pmConsidering that LEO retirements are up significantly nationwide and many jurisdictions are reporting that they are understaffed, this is probably a good thing. At least financially we do. My hope is a lot more become hands on. We need to fix what's clearly broken. ASAP.
BIG problem is it's not going to happen ASAP.

Sounds like Schumer and Manchin finally worked out their differences and got this Energy and Health Care bill agreed upon. I look forward to reading more of the details over the next few days. Sounds like it has some promising changes.

Bill to boost semiconductor production in US passes both Senate and House, will move to Biden's desk to be signed into law. Build more of that stuff in the US and remove some of our reliance on China, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan for it. So many items are backlogged due to chip shortages right now.

Re: Uncle Joe
Some big wins for the Dems and the Biden administration this week. If the Feds movements of the interest rates can cool inflation and gas prices continue to fall, they may be headed back in the right direction.
Re: Uncle Joe
That would be/is a win for the Fed, not a win for Biden imo. The damage is already done to old uncle Joe.

Sounds like Sinema is on board, after a few tweaks, and that the Inflation Reduction Act will get through Senate. More progress.

go figure, it all comes down to a pipeline that will likely be obsolete by the time it’s finished, but has the potential to do severe damage to local environments that are already heavily damaged by the mining industry in Appalachia
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
