23) Utah Jazz (via PHI): Gradey Dick

Kansas, Freshman, 6-6

Stats per 40 minutes via Cerebro (2022 HoopHall Classic):
19.4 pts, 10.6 reb, 3.1 ast, 2.5 3PM, 1.9 stl (2 games, Sunrise Christian)

Draft Age: 19.5
From: Kansas

Earlier this year, I spoke to Gradey Dick after he was named Gatorade Player of the Year. Here is what I wrote about him at the time:

“He has enjoyed one of the greatest shooting seasons in high school basketball history. He thrives in the pick-and-pop when lifting to the perimeter, he knocks down his catch-and-shoot opportunities, and he can create off the dribble. He led all tournament players in total 3-pointers made at the Montverde Academy Invitational in 2021, per Cerebro Sports. He was then the scoring leader at The La Porte Invitational in 2022, averaging 21.7 points per game.”

Dick will compete for a spot in the starting lineup of the defending national champions at Kansas, according to head coach Bill Self.
Grady dick is wearing number 4 next season. Over/under how many girls bring signs that say "im here 4 dick" to the games

Two 6'10 white guys with good mobility a soft silky touch and a mean streak. I think clemence really impresses this season

I agree he impresses.
I think he's a different kind of guy than Collison.

Collison made 23 three pointers in his entire KU career. I suspect that Clemence will make more than that this season.

So do I but I don't think his game will resemble Collison's at all other than being a tall white guy with "Kansas" across his chest.

November front court rotation:

Zach: 28 mpg
Cam: 9 mpg
Ernest: 3 mpg

March front court rotation:

Zach: 24 mpg
Ernest: 16 mpg

or something.

Clemence shoots 3s more. But that a sign of the times. He reminds me of Collison cause of his toughness rebounding poise and soft touch in the paint and around the rim. Theres a lot of similarities there

Pretty impressive that you were able to remember back and make that comparison off of 9 made 2 pointers on the season by Clemence. Without looking at his stats on a website, I wouldn't even be able to name a game that he scored in, let alone the details of those scores and who in KU history they reminded me of.

Clemence will be good, but any comparisons to Collison is unfair.

Banked in 3 against OU is the only made basket I can definitively say I remember.

Dumb question.

They'll tie.

But seriously, it'll be the Dajuan and Bobby combined. And Dajuan will beat him by himself.
