Thank you for explaining that much nicer than I was tempted to.

What a fucking moron. No one is discussing completely disarming Americans like what was done in Venezuela.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 12:26 pm I know I sound like a broken record but it is a really sad statement on this country when people elected this woman because they actually wanted her to represent them. Let that sink in.
Biggest reason why I care what they say is because their cult followers take much of it as gospel - and it's dangerous.
Are you serious with those questions? If so, I'll be genuine with my response.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 1:37 pmAre you serious with that question? Yes, Filipkowski often does that but.....
"I love" that it seems you find more fault in the "caption" than what the person "actually said".
"If we are disarmed we are no longer citizens". Do you believe that?
"“In Venezuela, they eat the dogs and it started because they do not have firearms". Do you believe that?

I don't define citizenship as the ability to possess firearms, but I don't find fault in her for feeling that her right to possess firearms is something that she values.
Venezuela has horrible issues due to a tyrannical/corrupt governement. I don't solely blame their citizens inability to possess guns as the cause of their current politcal climate, but I do believe it didn't help the situation. I think it's saddening/heart breaking to read reporting that some of their citizens have been forced to eat dogs/domesticated animals and rodents for survival. I do not find fault in her for thinking that if Venezuelans had similar rights as Americans that they wouldn't have been as susceptible to a tyrannical/corrupt government that they now face.

Do you know if you are coming or going? Friendly advice. Maybe give it a rest for a while.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 4:18 pm Feeling that we are subjects instead of citizens if we don't have the right to possess firearms is absurd, but I don't find fault in her for valuing that constitutional right. It's her opinion that she would feel that way. Even if we disagree with her.
And you make attempts to "conjure out of the sky" what people are "feeling" based on what they say nearly every single day around here. You make these totally self UNaware grandiose statements far to often for as much as you contradict half the things you say.

Thinking the ability to possess firearms is solely what constitutes a citizen IS absurd....but I don't find fault in her for feeling that way and having an opinion (even if it's a stupid one) of her own. What SHE "thinks" makes her a citizen is simply her opinion.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 5:32 pmDo you know if you are coming or going? Friendly advice. YOUR words.....
"Why would/should I find fault in what she said in that short clip?"
YOU followed that up with.......
"Feeling that we are subjects instead of citizens if we don't have the right to possess firearms is absurd".
Yes, I happen to care about and give attention to people who I feel are a legitimate threat to the well being of our country and YOU feel the amount of attention" I give what YOU feel are "relatively powerless politicians" is "absurd".BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 5:38 pmThinking the ability to possess firearms is solely what constitutes a citizen IS absurd....but I don't find fault in her for feeling that way and having an opinion (even if it's a stupid one) of her own. The amount of attention you give some of these relatively powerless politicians is absurd.
It's not absurd at all. I enjoy interacting with you more than I would enjoy interacting with many (most?) politicians. Thankfully I don't interact with many (any?) politicians the vast majority of my existence.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 6:07 pm Now I got one for you.
Do you feel it's "absurd" that you seemingly are more interested about what I have to say/post than politicians who unlike me, may actually have a bearing on your and your family's life?
Well, I will take that as a compliment (intended or unintended) but as I basically said to MICH earlier today, I feel we ("we" meaning ALL semi sane Americans) need to pay MORE attention to what I consider to be dangerous politicians - and figure out how to either prevent them from following through on their "agendas" or try our best to make sure they don't get elected again.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 6:46 pmIt's not absurd at all.
