This is how people behave when they do not value the continuation of their own lives. We have to help people add some value to their lives so they aren't so willing to throw it away over an argument over their mom's cold french fries.

The Founding Fathers will likely be eventually judged as well-intentioned individuals who were deeply flawed. They created at least as many problems as they solved. I think it’s not the fault of the FF as much as those who are “originalists” - those who ascribe an infallibility to the FF. If any of them were alive today they would most likely wish they had put trigger mechanisms in place so that we could easily modify/undo their actions….. beginning with the US Senate and the Electoral College.

Yes, they have what is referred to as ShotSpotter/s https://www.shotspotter.com in various parts of the city. Crazy that on all days/weekends supposedly the Chicago Police "brass" felt the need to turn them off on the Fourth of July due to all the neighborhood/s (citizens) who blow off fireworks. Very difficult for ShotSpotter to differentiate between fireworks and gun shots.

I will never fault our FF for their good intentions. Not just for themselves but for our country.
I will always credit them for allowing the freedom/s of religion. That's what makes me want to puke when the MTG's of our country continue to preach to the Republican CULT followers that "we" should be "CHRISTIAN Nationalists".
That being said, obviously their biggest fuck up by our collective FFs was declaring Blacks (and Indians) and women as "lesser" people in society.

My child has heard foul language in my house and doesn't seem to have developed into any sort of psychopath. People are so ridiculous.

This guy (see link below) was an unknown. He kills 4. His name is all over local and national news and he becomes "famous".
On the flip side, there are doctors curing cancer patients in Memphis and no one knows their name/s.
