I'll go as far as 4 wins or bust.

I reserve the right to change that Friday night.

I have an idea against Duke: if we go up by 12 points or more, we onside kick! And throw a lot of passes into coverage. Then we will be Big 10 ready.

I am cautiously optimistic that we get to 4 wins this year.

Game day you jock sniffers.

Line went from 30 to 33 in the span of about 24 hours.

KU early 13 point dogs at West Va. Was 14 and then dropped to 13.

Should be a really fun game.

Massive opportunity considering how well Friday went. I’m in no way explaining KU to win, but a 2-0 start with a road conference win would be a major leap in program development.

If they can get one of these two games and come back to Lawrence with a 2-1 record, the stadium will be full and juiced for when a Duke comes to town to potentially get to 3-1.

Highest yards per play of ANYONE that played in week 1. That’s massive for this staff and program.

That would be nuts but it just seems far fetched.
If we can stay within striking distance of WVU but end up loosing, i'll take that as a moral win.

If we're 2-2 with ISU and TCU coming up, you could see a path to a 4-5 win season.

The one thing that gives me the smallest bit of confidence for the WVU games is their defense seemed to really struggle with tackling vs. Pittsburgh. If we're set on coming out and running the ball at them all day, KU has running backs that will run through you if you're not able to wrap up and bring a guy down. They would also be a little thin at DB. One of their starting corners left the game injured and didn't return and another will be suspended the first half of the KU game for a targeting ejection.

We looked great running the ball.
Almost 300 yards on the ground.
But we could do so because Tennessee Tech could not tackle worth a damn AND we knew they couldn't move the ball on us through the air ( good god, their QB was awful ).

This is a team that didn't have a returning QB and lost their opener last year by a similar score to Samford ( who ended up going 4-7 ).

I like @ WVU early because they shouldn't be good enough to just blow us out of the water and it should be a good barometer of the upcoming season.

Not saying it will happen. Just if it happened.

I think a 2-2 record in September is plausible and we try to get a win or 2 in conference play and you have some happy Hawk fans.

Doesn't hurt that I have a little on KU over 2.5 wins this season. Would like to cash that in September :)
