Finding New Shit on TV
Re: Finding New Shit on TV
I don't know anything about it, but it sounds like it's ready for a BFH.
Defense. Rebounds.
Re: Finding New Shit on TV
Anybody watch the Elvis movie? I've seen it twice and I bought it off Amazon...yeah, I'm an Elvis guy.
Some gut wrenching moments, colonel Tom Parker (played fabulously by Tom Hanks), was a total POS who only cared about keeping Elvis on stage performing so the Colonel could continue his gambling addiction. Took over 50% of what Elvis earned, which is insane and would never happen today.

It's a hardware failure that would probably take more of your valuable time and energy than the $40 it will cost to replace it. An hour of my time is more valuable than $40.TDub wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:45 pm anybody know what to do with a firestick that all of a sudden gets stuck on a "recovery 3e" prompt? Was working fine until tonight.
even tried the hard factory reset but that does nothing...I cant get it to move from the recovery prompt page. Everything I read says do a factory reset. When I do that I dont get the prompt to start the reset, literally nothing happens...at all.

That stinks. I haven't had one completely flake out yet but have had some temporary issues with all of them at some point.TDub wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 9:37 amkinda what I figured.twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 9:25 amIt's a hardware failure that would probably take more of your valuable time and energy than the $40 it will cost to replace it. It’s probably due to the fact that you’re an idiot.

Re: Finding New Shit on TV
was gonna mention in the random thread but let's go here.
has anyone watched "How to change your mind" on Netflix?
it's a docuseries about the history of psychedelics...
at least according to this series, things like MDMA became illegal in part because it worked TOO well as a therapeutic drug, often only requiring one dose to achieve lasting therapeutic effects. But the powers that be didn't want a one-dose drug, so much as they wanted something they could keep prescribing on an ongoing basis, because how can big Pharma get rich off just one dose?

Re: Finding New Shit on TV
yea for real.
I didn't mean to say otherwise.
in fact, the last time I really truly had my heart broken. She and I enjoyed a summer of love and all, until her fun bubbly self just got all dull and vacant, and she started flaking on me more and more. Turns out, she had been blowing me off in favor of doing Molly compulsively for like a month straight. Just wasn't the same person.
There's also some origin story in there on the development of ousdahl's affinity for party girls.
