Ok, then maybe your should've been more clear in the details.

Coupon to be used no later than September 10th.

I dunno, seems you're making a mountain out of a molehill.

like...you regret signing up to do it.

Which again, is fine. Just say that instead of slamming blame all over the place for minor issues.
Dude. It’s fucking fishing.

By its very nature, it’s hard to say precisely what it’ll be like tomorrow, let alone 2 months from now.
I would think making a mountain out of a molehill is exactly want TrumperDub and the troll are doing in this thread. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Btw, I’ve since returned the winning bidder’s call.

He wants to go out tomorrow!
Of course you have.

And of course he does.

Totally believable. For a "tourist".

You are a pathological liar. Seek help.

yea...ok.

so, I still don't know what you want us to say.

you said early September, he qas 3 days late. its now a huge issue because neither of you could predict the weather.

is that it?

do you want acknowledgement that you donated your time as a guide. I dont understand what the major malfunction is.....if its too late and the seasons closed and its a regs thing, then communicate that and give him a rain check for next year. I dont get the huge issue here.

Im not an experienced Colorado fisherman....but, most of my best days fishing were in chilly, rainy weather. I get way more bites in overcast with a drizzle or spats of rain than I ever do on bluebird days.

Tbh, looking back, instead of logical responses/possible solutions, I should have just said "Q you are a whiny bitch far too often".

If I came here whining about how I was expecting some service by no later than “early September” and now that I called on the 15th and the service sucks now, could you even imagine the amount of shit you guys would give me?

Or - TDub, what if you showed up to one of your contract jobs scheduled for 9am, and the homeowner said “actually let’s make it 2:30” would you just sit around patiently twiddling your thumbs?
"9am" is a scheduled event that I expect to be respected. "Early September" is a season. Just use actual dates and you won't have this problem. You're clearly bothered by it being on a date of the 15th so why not just spend 5 minutes prior to sending out the donated item and think about a specific date that you wouldn't be bothered by and writing it on the donated item as the "good until" date. Problem solved.

Own your shit and take a few minutes to do it well. (and get off my lawn!)
I fucking WANT to do it well. That’s why I want to do it when it’s good to do, rather than when some asshole who thinks he knows better finally decides he feels like doing it.

The “early September” was intentionally vague, cuz - I’ll admit! I didn’t know what the weather in the middle of September would be like back in early July.

Now that we’re in the middle of September, I can confirm: it’s cold and rainy. You know, precisely the type of weather I was hoping to avoid.
You of all people should understand what can happen when you provide tourists with vague guidelines. If you want the additional flexibility of a vague end date then you have to accept the higher risk of an unpleasant demand.

You guys are very unintentionally providing an example of the very behavior yesterday’s rant was meant to criticize.

I implored the guy to go in July or august. Nothing vague about that. It was never supposed to come down to some last minute photo finish debating the semantics of “early September” in the first place!

But in yet another classic example of “y’all can’t tell me what to do” entitled ass tourist defiance, this guy insisted on his own prerogative anyway.

Next year, I’m gonna bill the item as “not valid until early September,” as I figure that’s the best way to get y’all to go in July.

I know I shouldn't get into this but sometimes I can't help myself.
How many pages of Q hammering? Of course, Q can't let it go either.

When I read Q's original post (5 pages ago?) I took it to mean that he was frustrated that the guy waited too long and may have missed his opportunity. That Q was trying to get this guy to go when he had the best shot at a successful fishin trip. Q was actually trying to provide this guy with a good time.

And I realize he forgot about the whole thing. I probably forgot some stuff I said in July as well.
