I wonder how much audio and video is even going on at a BYU non conference womens volleyball game?

I think hoopla is closer to right here.
I think it is possible that the fan was yelling something that sounded like something else.

NBA Draft age very likely going back to age 18.

Have to think NIL played a role in the NBA conceding its position on that.

HS talent is much better and more developed than it was 20 years ago

but still trying to wrap my head around this.

Who's got some analysis?

I think we are on the verge of becoming the premier CBB program, so long as Self sticks around. So, from that standpoint, I don't like that we won't be able to get the occasional Kevin Durant/Zion Williamson/Victor Webanyama, etc. sort of player. And then add on that I think NIL has and is going to help keep first round talent in college for an extra year or 2.

But, as I'm sure everyone would rush to point out, Self's program seems to run just fine without the Top 3-5 draft pick talent. It probably won't matter much, if at all, for KU in the short term. However, the OAD rule was great for NCAAB from an exposure standpoint.

could be interesting to see some NIL bidding war that could result from a top recruit otherwise leaning draft.

No. This would not be interesting at all.

I'm not convinced that Bronny won't go lottery in 2023.

In essence, you're almost kind of drafting LeBron James, or at least a whole host of assets you can acquire by trading Bronny to LOL, err LAL.

I just said it could be.

but of course you'd be pissed about the next Durant coming to KU.

For the most part, the NIL deal details and bidding wars are entirely uninteresting to me, as well.

I think it's a little amusing that so many female athletes are killing it, and I loved the Jared Casey angle. But, what Miami FL is doing, SEC football coach spats, Remy's Camry, it's pretty yawn. We know they're getting it, but I'm more interested in the games.

is Bronny a projected lotto talent?

I thought I've seen more he's a second-round-to-undrafted type, but for GM Lebron's father-son sentiments.

He's an undersized 2-guard, right?

Are you suggesting some other team might draft Bronny as trade bait for the lolkers, or to lure dad?

Yes, he's small and ranked around the 50's last time I looked. That's a 3-4 year player if his name is Russ Jackson, e.g.

I would not put it past LeBron at all to either force a trade to draft Bronny or for himself to join Bronny (former being more likely). It's the one thing LeBron has been consistent on the last couple of years regarding his future in the NBA. And, if you're LOL, you don't really have much of a choice, here.

Well, likely you could land Bronny with a 2nd round pick, so it's not the draft capital that would fuck you up...but if he's in the coaches ear to force more playing time for him ( and I don't think he'd do that if he was on a competitive team ) then that's how he/they could fuck a team up.

I think LeBron stays in L.A. ( just signed an extension ) and the Lakers draft Bronny with a 2nd. NBD to them.

I guess it doesn't seem like a stretch for Lebron to value "first father-son NBA duo" above whatever else he might achieve at this point. Just wait for the cheers and flash bulbs as Bronny checks in for like 2 possessions once LOL is already loosing by 35.

FWIW Espn has Bronny as ranked 35th, a 4 star, as a PG.

247 composite lists him as 45th, a 4 star combo guard.

Rivals says he's 61th, a 4 star shooting guard.

You gotta figure whether he can actually play PG weighs heavily toward his recruiting and pro potential. And you gotta wonder how much of his recruiting profile is affected by having a famous dad.
