7 day average daily deaths....

6/28/21 = 279
6/28/22 = 386

Hmmmm.... looks similar.
Your claim was that no one cares any more today because Trump is no longer in office so I have no idea why you are choosing two random dates that are both outside of when Trump was in office.

If no one TODAY cares about covid because Trump is no longer in office then the relevant data is 1) when Trump WAS in office and 2) TODAY.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/202 ... cases.html

Go to the chart titled "New reported deaths by day" and move the little line to Jan. 21st 2021 (the end of Trump's term) and then move it again to the most recent date.

I can't believe I have to tell a grown ass adult how to do this.

LOL

Why would i compare a winter "peak" to a summer "valley"?

I can't believe I have to tell a grown ass adult how to interpret data on a line graph.

🤣🙄😉

Ummmm….6/28 isn’t January.

On 20 Jan 2021 there were over 4000 deaths in the US. On 21 Jan 2022 there were about 3000 deaths. On 17 Sep 2022 there were 79 deaths; same day in 2021 had 2351 deaths. Similar isn’t one of the top 100 words which come to my mind.

All data according to Worldometer, an extremely trustworthy outfit.

Edit: my initial numbers were worldwide, not US

Average daily deaths

Jan 14th 2021 = 3,387
Feb 4th 2022 = 2,687

Per cdc.

Similar enough (imo) to wonder why nobody cares anymore.

Where's the death tracker? Why is nobody blaming all the unvaxxed anymore?

Is it February again? I am pretty sure I already did that month. Do we still win the national title if we have to go back and redo those months?!?

In January of 2022 we were at our 2nd highest "peak" of average daily deaths. And the hysteria was nowhere to be found. Why is that?

I remember lots of conversations, guidance and information about the new (at the time) Omicron variant. I personally was infected with it over the holidays and into the new year of 2022.

Maybe we're nearly three years into this and there isn't any need for hysteria any more. But keep looking for ways to try to turn something that isn't about Trump into something that is about Trump while also complaining that everyone always gets hysterical and unnecessarily makes everything about Trump.

Eh, gas prices have been consistently going down since mid June.

I think we can agree to disagree on this one. The media has absolutely covered covid differently since Biden took office and it has nothing to do with the actual covid numbers.

Yes, that’s because he’s actually trying to find a way to help rather than telling people to drink bleach, shine UV inside their body or tout unproven therapies.

The daily average of deaths per day on Jan 21, 2021 (Biden's inauguration) was more than 3,000 deaths per day with more than 4,100 new deaths reported that particular day. On September 17th, the daily average was less than 500 per day with 22 new deaths reported that day. But don't let that completely not "similar rate" get in the way of a good rant. You should do a few google searches before you make such a ridiculous claim.
Similar is a relative term and those numbers are similar enough for me.

Cascadia. In every thread. Talking about me. Or talking shit to someone.

Who again is ruining every thread?

Maybe PDub should put half as much effort into keeping Cascadia in check as he does PMing people to put me on ignore.

Intentionally so.
But you're arguing that Trump not being in office is the reason people don't care about Covid as much, right?
What I'm saying is, if you get rid of that factor (Trump), and keep the others, as we've seen in pretty much every country, you get the same result (most people no longer caring as much about Covid).
Ergo, Trump isn't the reason.

Actually Trump only suggested the idiotic cures for COVID. The media blew it up to make it sound like he wholeheartedly promoted them.
P.S. I had friends(both health professionals) who took Ivermectin and were cured of their COVID.

Every person who died of cancer drank water on days which ends with the letter ‘y’! About as valid correlation.

Not that it would matter to you, but there was an actual clinical study which provided evidence that ivermectin actually did the opposite. Was in NEJM or Lancet a few months ago.

I think he does. He just comes away from what he reads with a different picture of what he just read than me. I find myself scratching my head like "that's how you took that?" I know I am already a little off center but it's just weirdly disorienting. Annoying but harmless, like an occasional bout of mild vertigo. We're all weird in some way.

Different weird things annoy different weird people in different weird ways.
