Opposing fan bases come in now and scream through free throws regularly. What’s anyone going to do about it? Snap it? No one even verbally attempts to curb it.

and i realize all of that
it just seemed like last night was worse than it's been...folks even said the same to me
i was probably more shocked/disappointed that there were so many empty seats, even with the season ticket holders right around my seats

You are correct in that aspect.
2 things caused that.
1. Hysteria of entitled fans, just like we see here. We’ve been on brink uninterested for weeks. Not playing beat your chest ball. Just like here, waking up yelling about political asshats is a way more popular activity.
