Then they hire him back and they suck on defense. Would be hilarious to watch if USC wins the Natty.

Yeah basically got demoted when Bobby's brother came back to be the DC. So then he went to Clemson.

It was really hard to imagine OU staying at that top level. New scheme on offense AND defense and Lincoln Riley knows what he is doing. Their offense blows and their defense can't do enough.

And Riley poached a lot of their talent and took it with him to USC.

Any word on Hishaw? I now expect Neal to have a few 100+ yard games, but I hope Morrison is ready to roll and Thomas is on the mend.

New depth chart just came out a few minutes ago and Hishaw is not listed on there. So unfortunate, kid has been so good this year.

If Wiscy admin expects to compete for Top 2 finishes in a division-less B1G, then I would think most anyone would be very cautious in taking that job.

It felt like it. I think if KU gets through the Huskers and Wiscy jobs getting filled and don't lose Leipold then we may get to keep Leipold for a good long time.

Yep. The main 2 jobs that we knew when he was hired that would entice him to leave. And then they both open up midseason as soon as he gets KU in the national conversation.

Feels like Wisconsin just pulled a Nebraska/Frank Solich/Bo Pelini move. Don't know what happened behind the scene but a rough start to one season after 7 straight bowl appearances seems monumentally stupid.

It was stupid on Wiscy's part. They have winnable games left and the early season should not be the end all be all. But they began to feel entitled.

Today's edition of it's a small world....
This morning I walked in to the Nike store in Chicago wearing a Jayhawks hat.
Guy (Bryant) who manages the Nike Store in Chicago walked up to me and told me he is from Jefferson County WI, his parents are friends with and were classmates with Lance, and Bryant was at UW Whitewater when Lance coached there.
I asked him if he thought Lance would take the UW job if it was offered to him. He shrugged his shoulders - as if maybe/maybe not. Same thing most KU (and UW) fans would probably do if asked the same question.

Heads up: Travis Goff was just on ESPNU Radio on XM and said there's an announcement coming tomorrow "that will prove our commitment to the future of the football program".

My guess is this is stadium-related. Rumor starting to go around this morning that they have awarded the construction contract.
