Im not saying she doesnt have some good qualities but she is using her platform in much the same way that trump does)- which is widely (and correctly) critized.

Not exactly. She's an extremist left winger. I wouldn't consider Trump an extremist on the right. He campaigned against the Iraq war, against free trade, for raising the social security tax limit, and has been a supporter of democrats in the past.
If what you mean is that she appeals to the base's average-to-low information/intelligence crowd (the majority in both parties) - then yeah, you're right.
