Trump’s potential candidacy has the consistent support of three groups. Two-thirds of Republicans, 70 percent of voters who supported his 2020 campaign and a little more than half of white evangelical Christians want Trump to run again.

It's starting to dissolve to the level where it is Law & Order for anyone who "isn't us."

if we do get Biden/Trump 2.0, one thing I'm concerned about is, the fact righties tend to be better about herding together and marching in lock step behind their guy Lefties tend to be more likely to actually criticize their own. I could see them just sitting out and accepting Make America Great Again, Again.

Then again, considering how many "Dems help promote far-right candidates" type stories we've seen, I kind of wonder if the Dem strategy is precisely to get Trump on the GOP ballot again.

And I wonder exactly why that is their strategy and what their end goal is.

I'd put the odds of Trump vs Biden at somewhere around .001%.

Cheeto Mussolini will announce his candidacy for the simple reason (in his mind) that it’s the lowest barrier path and cheapest option to keep him from being criminally indicted and prosecuted.

well, if he announces his candidacy, it makes it that much easier to keep claiming the legal shitstorm he's created for himself is actually just politically motivated; just another witch-hunt.

And if any of the entities after him actually come down on him, he'll get the martyr treatment even more than before.

It is also the best option for him to ramp up his personal grifting of the rubes.

it blows my mind that in a country of 330+ million people, it's this hard to find 2 among the lot who are any better than your average Giant Douche v. Turd Sandwich.
