i think it's a great idea that we silence all voices that we may not necessarily align with.

yep, cuz that’s exactly what’s being discussed

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

What's great about this post is that it is direct evidence that stupid ass comments/voices are not being silenced.

Better abling someone to ignore is different than silencing.

Otherwise you should be getting The NY Times delivered and have CNN on all day Mich.

MICH filed a complaint against the city alleging the city violated his 1st Amendment rights when the annoyed person next to him on the bus put on headphones.

That's very inhumane, but we cannot be having illegals coming in unless we remove the welfare system. Or send them all the NYC, which is fine by me. The second part of your statement is not factual.

Also...cities DO suck. But I lived in one for a decade, so at least I have a basis for my dislike.

NOT trying to minimize anything by asking this.
Do you know how many of those people feel worse with Covid than if they had the "common" flu?
Reason I'm asking, on Friday I had interactions with 3 employees in my office who were clearly sick - but obviously felt well enough to be in the office - and had no problem exposing other people to their illness/es. I wasn't happy about it.
At what point do we NOT differentiate between Covid and the flu/a cold/whatever in regards to reasons to stay the heck home from work?
Anyways, almost 3 years later and people are still struggling how to (and not to) deal with Covid.
I have a strong feeling come January when I travel on vacation - I will be forced to wear a mask in the airport, on the plane, in the hotel (when not alone in my room) in restaurants (when not eating), in stores, at indoor concerts and sporting events, etc.
Not just because of Covid but because of the flu and RSV. I think it's going to be ugly. I hope I'm wrong.
I'll deal with it but I won't be happy about it. Now if things get "shut down" and cancelled, then I'll be pissed off.
