Yes he was the a good fit next to the other guys and a good role player. In no way does that make him one of the best point guards in the nation tho. He could take a big step forward this year tho, we will see, but hes gotta improve that shot and add some playmaking

Much different players around him this season
I understand your point, I guess we just differ on what makes a great point guard. Some are good scorers, to be sure, but not always. I guess to me a point guard knows what he needs to do for his team to win and he does it. The scoring column always gets our attention but assists, defense, pushing the ball are important too.

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time or the last) but he seems like a guy who will step up and do what we need when we need it. His improvement last year was huge and I'm hoping for more.

No I get what you are saying. Dajuan is a good true pass first point guard. Which is rare these days. I dont think big scoring numbers is what make a point guard good. Assists defense and running the offense are essential, and he's good at that. He's gonna help us win a lot of games the next couple years. He just helped us win a national championship

I just think he's lacking tools to be "one of the best point guards in the nation"
And those tools are a reliable jump shot and a quick first step

Dajuan harris is basically Russell Robinson. I loved russ. He also helped us win a national championship. I think he was more talented than dajuan. Russell was never one of the best point guards in the country. But he was a very good role player

Cedric could finish at the rim though.

I think I'm just going to refer to him as Gradey.

it's exhibition early, but I think I've already said it anyway:

this team's ceiling is with Udeh.

He's the big old school 5 man Self loves

I don't think the 5 spot has much to do with our ceiling. Not in the sense that it "needs" to be 1 of them more than the others.

This team's ceiling is going to be determined by shooting.

I would need to watch again (sober), but I felt Zuby was a bigger positive than Udeh. Would not have guessed that at all this past summer.

Zuby has a lot of Thomas Robinson in him.

Interesting that Clemence was a factor in the last Champion's Classic and didn't get off the bench in this one despite younger competition. I think his Kansas career ended last game when they ran that set play to Iso for him, clearing out an entire side of the floor to get him 1 on 1 at top of key against their slow-ass big dude. He made a jab step and launched (and clanked) a three. His value is supposed to be his ability to stretch the defense and score. If he can't do that against NDSU, he can't do it against better opposition.
