I mean, the guy is going to earn $37.5M per year with a TV job. That's absurd. More family time at home, not having to worry about off season workouts and all of that. Maybe not being as strict with diet and stuff.

But he couldn't help himself.

And he'll probably regret it.

Who knows. Maybe his wife is an asshole and this is the only good thing to come of a bad season.

I thought the rumblings of trouble in paradise happened before he retired and then unretired. It's possible he knew this was coming and was like "fuck, might as well play a few more years then". Married to divorced when kids are involved doesn't usually happen in a month or two. I am guessing this has been building for longer than that.

Maybe they just don’t love each other anymore. That is also possible rather than it just being about Brady wanting to continue to play football and her not wanting him to.

I thought he would be better at this point in his career. Just goes to show you how hard it is to be a good NFL QB and how dependent good NFL QBs are on a lot of other good players on their roster.

I witnessed some horrible officiating yesterday. I didn't witness this live. The NFL keeps proving it's a BAD joke when you give a QB a love tap and get penalized for it but this happens and it isn't even reviewed?

He basically gets a free pass from me for his first season or two considering Urban Meyer damn near burned that franchise to the ground.

Yeah, it's pretty clear that JAX was fully dysfunctional under Urban. What a mess. I hope they spend a little money in FA this year to continue to upgrade his talent.

Chark and Robinson looked like good, young talent last season, but then they look bad and then get sold. Bad franchise.

Agreed. Etienne looks good now and Kirk is good but overpaid for his level of good. It will be interesting.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

"Now Brady is self-destructing like Antonio Brown."

I can't take this article seriously with a sentence like that.
He leads the NFL in passing yards.
He's thrown 1 interception all season.
He's not Tom Brady good but his offensive line is in shambles and his WR core has been busted all season.

I also wouldn't count him out quite yet.
He is in a winnable division and can still sneak into the playoffs.

i don’t necessarily disagree with you (and almost posted this in response to gutter), but i’m sure his team is comforted by the fact that he’s still leading the league in passing yards

What i'm trying to say is he isn't nearly as 'washed up' as the article is making it sound.
Half the teams in the NFL would, right now, trade multiple picks for Tom Brady.
They compared him to Antonio Brown.

I'd also add, it's difficult to win when you can't generate any semblance of a running game as the Bucs are dead last in yards per carry as a team and 30th in rushing yards per game.
