more a Zuck/Gram rant than a Musk/Tweet rant (yet)

but I'm amazed at how the gram can be so effective at throttling DMs to/from certain users, so they never see it, and it ends up in their spam folder, and you have to go leave a comment on some post like "check your DM spam folder," if it even lets you do that

but it's also so ineffective at things like, letting crypto spam accounts get all the DMs they want in my inbox, like hey I made a thousand bucks investing in derp coin, you can too if you click this sketchy link!

and, for that matter, how they'll promptly shadow/outright ban some lefty account for posting something like "n@zis are bad," but it'll take weeks to delete some fake account that copied some chick's profile and turned it into some scam onlyfans promotional site

but meh whatever. Been meaning to delete this shit anyway.

And anyway, tweeter's the big news today.

So for now let's just ask:

how long til Musk lets Trump start tweeting again?

DDD will be twittering tomorrow.

I have no idea what any of the rest of that rant means.

I guess the gist of the rant is, I wish Zuck was as effective at policing stolen profiles and porno pages and crypto scams as is he is at policing the commie memes.

So ... What role should an influential medium like Twitter play in terms of what it allows on it's platform?

I mean, in some general sense, it's prob good to try to limit hate speech and violent threats, but the devil's in the details.

Its good to limit actual hate speech. But for awhile there, democrats were using the term "hate speech" and "disinformation" to censor opinions that didn't fall in line with their agenda. Particularly with covid

I wish someone would tweet something slanderous of Elon multiple times a day just to see how he feels about “free speech”. Not unlike what he tweeted in response to slanderous theories about Paul Pelosi. Unfortunately I don’t have a Twitter account and I’m not going to start now.

Oh yea, start an active backlash on EVERY SINGLE advertiser on Twitter.

Don't worry, the media will use all they can to make Musk look like a racist, dangerous hate speech advocate. I'm just glad he fired all those people who were censoring people.

you should post about it in a third thread…just to make your “point”
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
