Semi quick thoughts as I get ready to leave for work are...
Obviously he has skill/s and tools.
He needs better receivers and a better OL if he's going to have a "great" career - and even it that happens, I'm not sure he will ever be "great". Will be interesting to see if Getsy (OC) stays around and I have ZERO idea if Janocko (QB coach) is the right guy to continue to develop him.

matt stafford may be done before too long (if his wife has anything to say about it)
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Great game, great teams. Buffalo is the total package. The rematch will be fun.

Minnesota and Buffalo are a combined what? 0-8 in the Super Bowl.
I know this isn't exactly going out on a limb but my guess is that doesn't change this season.

Id love to play the Cousins and the Vikings in the Super Bowl instead of a team like the Eagles.

The Vikings are allowing an almost NFL worst 381 yards a game compared to the 3rd best Eagles at 290 yards a game.

The Vikings are 11th in yards per game on offense but Philly is 4th.

I think the Eagles defense would be a factor in the game. The Vikings not so much.
Also I think the Eagles could be a team that could get pressure without sending guys, which is the way to stop Mahomes, and the Vikings not.

The Bills kinda blew this game on their own with two bad redzone interceptions and a fumble on a botched snap. It also took a miracle catch by Jefferson ( holy shit what a catch ) on 4th and 18. Things just all kinda fell the Vikings way. I'd take Allen and the Bills, after his elbow isn't an issue, in a rematch, because I think they are a better team. But am very thankful they lost yesterday.

I agree with you that the Eagles are a better team than the Vikings and the Chiefs would probably be better off playing the Vikings in the Super Bowl than the Eagles.
I was just saying I felt yesterday's Vikings team was better than last weeks Eagles team.
Also, stats don't lie but as I like to say - they often don't tell the whole story.
For example, 3-6 Denver is the 2nd best team in regards to yards per game given up, 4-5 Indianapolis is 4th, the 3-6 Rams are 6th.
3-6 Cleveland is 5th best in the league in offensive yards per game, 3-6 Detroit is 6th best in the league, 3-7 Jacksonville is 7th, 3-7 New Orleans is 10th.

You say stats don't tell the whole story then bring up three teams that are in the bottom fourth of the NFL in yards per game on offense and among the last four teams in points per game as some sort of counter argument?

The Vikings won despite their best efforts to lose yesterday.

I can accept that assessment (although I don't really agree) but let's realize the Eagles were basically garbage against the horse crap Texans for most of the game.
Moving on to today.... I expect the Eagles to beat the Commanders by plenty - and Goedert to play well enough to screw me in the KCrim league.

If Josh Allen takes a knee in the end zone for a safety instead of fumbling for a Minny TD then we aren't even having this discussion. Most Super Bowl participants have a game where they look like shit. No team is as bad as their worst game.

Right, IF. But IF didn't happen. IF a lot of different things happened (or didn't happen) in that game the outcome would have possibly been different.
The snap was fumbled. Allen said that was on him.
Even if the Bills took a safety, you think the game would have been over?
Regardless of all that, no matter how we break it down, the Vikings beat one of the better teams in the league on the road yesterday. The same team that beat the Chiefs in K.C.
I agree 100% with your last sentence. Once again, I was just making a basic what I feel is/was true statement when I said I felt yesterday's Vikings team was better than last week's Eagles team.
Just as I would say 98/99 games out of 100 I would feel the Chiefs are better than the Colts but on September 25th the Colts were the better team. I know, I know, Chiefs fans will point out stats that prove me wrong. I'll point out the final score and say at least the Colts were better in the most important stat of the game.
Moving on......

I will strongly stick by my previous statement of who I'd rather see in the Super Bowl.
In fact, to be honest, i'd rather see the Vikings over another NFC team that lost yesterday in the Cowboys as I think they could also pressure Mahomes without sending a lot.

I'd also add, as mentioned before, if Willie Gay deserves a 4 game suspension for damage against a vacuum cleaner, why hasn't Dalvin Cook seen a similar if not worse suspension?

As far as the Colts game, we can blame the official who thought Chris Jones was too mean.

Buffalo dropped from the #1 seed all the way down to the #6 seed after losing yesterday. They dropped to third in the AFC East. Crazy.

If Buffalo fucks around and drops a few more games here and there (still have @NE, vs Miami, vs Jets and @Chicago), their game @Cincy in Week 17 might be to make or miss the playoffs.
