Coach K sucks. And, Duke sucks.

To be fair, it’s hard to blame K for his teams lacking D and oversimplified offense, once you realize his number one priority the past 2 decades has been googling his own name.

Scheyer should do well at Duke. I know there's "pressure" replacing K but hes been set up with the best opportunity and head start of any head coach maybe ever:

Played 4 years for coach K
Set on his bench for a decadish while being groomed to take over
Inherits a bluebood program
Duke is coming off a final 4 and still loaded with talent. Top incoming recruiting class first season
Paying recruits was just legalized right before his first season
Its also the transfer era where he can poach good upperclassmen off the transfer market

If scheyer doesn't succeed at Duke.... massive failure

Another thing that just drove me crazy is that he coached just like K. Sat on the bench. They were in all-black. Didn't get up a whole lot.

He's trying so hard to be like him.

Playing under a legendary coach, Scheyer coaching about 10-years at a Tulsa, ORU and maybe an Illinois would be a far better coach for Duke. Not sure where a program could get such a guy.
