US scoreless draw against the Saudis recently doesn't look as bad now..?

Now Argentina plays Mexico and Poland to hopefully get to a 4 point total. Which I think they can do because Poland is overrated and Mexico will try to match Argentina's style and they'll get smoked when they play like that.

That 2nd Saudi goal tho... Whew

Denmark getting a draw with Tunisia is a surprise.

Unreal.

Biggest upset in WC history?
It's up there for sure. Biggest since the US/England 1950 game, I believe. Biggest betting underdog victory at WC since 2006.

England, in 1950, were the heavy favorites, and they eventually went on to win it.
The US team was made up of limo drivers and dishwashers who played soccer semi professionally or as a hobby.

In 66, Brazil and England were the favorites.

One man show.

But 0-0, so maybe he can deliver something crazy and win this 1-0.

The Group of Death thing really isn't a thing anymore, but after watching the first few days.

I think Group B with the US is that group. The lowest FIFA ranked team is Iran at like 20. US at 16 and Wales around 18 or so.

To me, the most consequential thing at the draw was which Pot 1 and 2 teams got Group A.

F'n FIFA.

Penalty?

For reasons that are too boring to explain, I'm having to watch the spanish feed. No clue what's going on.

That looks pretty close to a penalty.
The hold and then the slide.

I wouldn't give it as I prefer physical soccer.

That was a kick in the pants to Poland.

How does Ochoa still do it? The dude is almost 40 right?

Not sure how I feel about the World Cup making sure every second of stoppage is added at the end of each half.

I go back and forth. Love that you literally get all 90 minutes of action.

Always have hated the end of the game tactics that waste time.
