US in a straight up 4-4-2 with Pulisic more of a LM.

McKennie just missed that!

Much more collected and poised over the last 10 minutes.

That's a goal by Dest if not deflected. US the much better team from the 15 minute on.

That was England's first good chance in 30 minutes.

From the 15 minute mark on, it was beautiful play. England had to go out wide often. The midfield has been superb.

Have to keep it up.

Very good point. Better than England for most of the game.

It was going to come down to Tuesday anyway. That point took Wales basically out of it.

Tyler Adams is the US most important player. He was so good.

None of our guys who had yellows had issues.

Full strength v Iran.
They took us out in 98.
Let’s pay em back.

Also the tie likely matters little but it at least assures us, if we win v Iran, that Wales can’t jump us unless they beat England by 2.

Thought McKennie and Adams were best players for US by far. Played very well.

US need a striker. Fans should be proud. England talented but maybe a notch below the top of the top teams, but US still controlled so much of that match.

England is a top 5 team in the world.
They started with the third best odds to win the World Cup.

Argentina just lost to Saudia Arabia.
Brazil is Brazil.
Spain are also faves.

Bro but I’m not sure that analogy works. Not like you want it to, at least.

Cuz at the end of the day if one actually had to pick - I think a vast majority of athletes, just like a vast majority of sexual partners, would still rather score quickly than not score at all.

In that regard, soccer is still less similar to fast sex, and more similar to no sex at all.

Indeed, the better analogy would be, let’s say, Catcher in the Rye. That Holden dude went through the effort of hiring a hooker, even tho he had no intention of actually banging her.

Dude was playing the game tho there’s no scoring involved.

If the scene was recreated in a porno, it would be sexual partners not engaging in sexual encounters, but rather just sitting around talking about feelings and shit.

THAT is closer to soccer than your quick sex analogy.

Also,

lol

Not that I’m trying to rain on any soccer fan’s parade, I swear. Have fun with it either way! I just thought that analogy was funny.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go resist the urge to kill John Lennon.
