I think KU is going to be a hot ticket. But Memphis has never had OU visit there.

If KU goes to Memphis, they'll play Kentucky. Which will be fine. Their good QB declared for the draft and probably won't play in the bowl game. Saw that Arkansas might be an option too.

I didn't really want to play Missouri since they'll be a future opponent soon. But wouldn't have minded the game. Just wanted something different. But it would have added some juice to the game.

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out over the next two days. I was under the impression that the Liberty Bowl would take KU only if they could get KU vs. MU, otherwise they'd take Oklahoma and we'd head to Phoenix, probably vs. Wisconsin.

McMurphy knows this stuff more than anything. Especially since he broke the mizzou being scared news.

He is projecting KU to play Arkansas in the Liberty Bowl.

That would be fun. Haven't played Arkansas since... checks College Football Reference...

Man. Good scheduling. Can we not play an away/home against Coastal Carolina? ; )

KU vs Arkansas in Memphis on the 28th all but confirmed.

Last played Arkansas in 1906. Glad to play a not so common opponent. Middle of the workweek hurts my chances to attend.

I'm surprised to hear Eriq Gilyard put his name in the transfer portal...he'll have to sit out a year, correct?

Has anyone bought tickets to a bowl game directly from KU? I looking at getting tickets and it says you aren't guaranteed tickets. They give you a price range but don't give you a choice. They say tickets will be based on points and donations and that stuff. We have season tickets and a parking pass but sure very low on the point scale overall.

I imagine we have enough points to get tickets but just curious if they just try to pack everyone as low/close as possible. I see a good package directly from the Liberty Bowl that look like good location and includes a tailgate package that has free food and drinks along with a parking pass for $565. Thinking I might just be better off getting that package.

So, back to my question. Anyone bought bowl game tickets directly from KU?

Two best 6-6 teams?
I'll still be working during kickoff but I'm happy we are playing when no other games are being played.
I'm going to predict Arkansas opens as a 3.5 point favorite.

No.

My worthless suggestion is you wait and buy a ticket for under face value.

I believe he's listed as a grad transfer so I don't think he does.

Trying to make the bowl game work for me. Memphis is the most drivable for me of all the bowls, but just zero sensible flight options. If Newton makes it, I've got his first few beers for being one of the pleasant optimists on here.

Definitely big news.

He'll be a guy that needs to be molded for at least 2 years before he contributes, but that body frame is something to work with. He can be a future LT after a few years with this staff. 6'7 300 lbs

KU needed to get a kid in this Kansas HS class of 2023. The best HS class Kansas has ever seen. They finally got one.

From what I've heard on various podcasts and whatnot is that a lot of Kansas HS kids kept telling Leipold and staff that they wanted to see some definite progress. This is step 1. And from Michael Swain at 247, he said that Kansas is in REALLY good shape with some of the top 2024 Kansas kids.

Expect about 15 HS kids per class and the rest to be JUCOs or transfers. That's kind of the new norm now.
