Oh no doubt they are better than our sorry ass.

I just think that, even more than basketball, that has more games to determine a champion, the team that wins the most games when they each play each other once, should be the champ.

UGH think it just rubs me that we lose to the purple team. How do you lose to a team that wears fucking purple. Anyways football is get in the championship game and win. You the champs.

Now basketball on the other hand. If you in Big 12 it's the regular season. Win that and you the champs, but say you in the ACC then you have to win the ACC tournament to be crowned Champs. That really makes no sense.

The expanded CFP that starts in 2024 has some twist to it. The top 6 conference champions get in. The top 4 ranked get a first round bye. So the power 5 and one more which this year would be Tulane. Then say Purdue beats Mich. Then Purdue is in but would not be top 4 ranked so the team in Purple would be in with a first round bye and from what I have seen would host their first game.

It is funny how the networks tricked the conferences into playing otherwise meaningless championship games. TCU won the Big 12 with a perfect record. But now, their bonafides can be doubted. ESPN got another game, but now the Big 12 might very well get shut out of the important ones. The extra game should be a tie-breaker only for divisional conferences. The Big 12 is a round robin. And someone thought an extra game with injuries was worthwhile. But tOSU. Alabama. Blah. Blah. Blah. Bring on the expanded championship. Cut the meaningless crap.

The Big 12 lost Colorado and Texas a&m and lost it's championship game. Then a few years later the Big 12 had someone in the playoffs and they got leap frogged during championship week. So the Big 12 started screaming we need a championship game. Sure they getting like 30 million for the game but for awhile they were the only conference without the game and Big 12 decided they wanted one.

TCU should be 3 seed
OSU is 4
Bama is out. Their best win is Texas who TCU beat and have to remember that TCU beat the team in purple earlier.
There is a chance Osu is 3. They have the best loss Mich and they have the best win PSU.

I think it’s this if Michigan holds on..

1 UGA
2 Mich
3 Ohio State
4 TCU

I look at this championship by KSU as just another NIT banner. It was stupid creating the extra game and I do remember its origin story. Lots of respect for Duggan watching his press conference. Hope they make it in. Won't watch otherwise.

Saban making a case to the media for Bama.....

""We lost two games on the road to one top-five team, one top-10 team on the last play of the game," he said. "But now that [Young is] healthier and he's able to practice, I think we're a different team, and I think you should look at the circumstances around a two-loss team versus a one-loss team and how are they playing at the end of the season? How are they playing at the present?"

Saban said he wanted to add another angle to the debate over who gets in and who is left out. He said it should be asked if they were playing another team, "would they be underdogs?"

"I guess I would ask the question: If we played these teams in question, would we be underdogs in the game or not?" he said. "That should answer everybody's questions relative to who the best teams are at present. That's how this should play out.""

If TCU plays tOSU in the Championship - I won't be happy - and I just may sell someone my ticket - for a lot less than I paid for it.
If undefeated Georgia plays undefeated Michigan - I will be thrilled - and would have been happy to pay 25% more than I did for my ticket.

Go Dawgs!

The pre-injury Kansas could have made a similar case. But you play with what you have ready. Glad to see TCU still made it. I am rooting for them only because of the conference. They played a style that seemed to injure other teams.

I don't bet football but if I did I would take the team in purple. I do not think Bama gives a damn if they are not in the CFP.

Alabama

Javion Cohen (Starting OG) - Transfer Portal
JoJo Earle (Starting WR) - Transfer Portal
Christian Leary (Contributing WR) - Transfer Portal
Traeshon Holden (Contributing WR) - Transfer Portal
Damieon George (Former Starting OG) - Transfer Portal
Khyree Jackson (Contributing DB) - Transfer Portal
Amari Kight (Depth OT) - Transfer Portal
Tommy Brockermeyer (Depth OT) - Transfer Portal
Tanner Bowles (Depth OL) - Transfer Portal
Trey Sanders (Depth RB) - Transfer Portal

This is all the Bama players in the Portal already. The bigger issue is going to be the opt outs. Their QB opts out which I think he is they are not even close to the same team. They have four starters on defense that most likely opt out and their RB and poof a watered down Bama against the team in purple playing the biggest game of their lives. Now their QB is badass most pro ready I have seen since Joe Burrow. So the NFL #1 draft choice opts out the team in purple going to Roll the Tide. LOL

Also pretty sure Clemson going to smoke Tenn. I would take Tulane over USC.

By far the most entertaining game last year was Utah-Osu. So Utah-PSU is a must watch for sure.
