Protests are good. But when windows are broken, property is stolen or damaged, buildings are set ablaze, people are attacked, shots are fired... that's not a protest

Getting to your 4th sentence, I say - depending on what is being protested, why it is being protested, and how it is being protested.
Then I sort of agree with your 5th sentence. It's probably still a "protest" by definition but I think we are in agreement it's a protest that has gone too far.
Your last sentence is subject to debate and interpretation. Like I said, to me - it depends on what is being protested and why - and to what extent.
I live in a city where a "protest" often includes the disruption of traffic. People might say that's just an inconvenience but near why I live it can be the difference between life and death when an ambulance can't get someone who is having a medical emergency to the hospital.

The national guard and police were not doing anything to protect the town. When gov doesn't do their job, then ordinary people need to. When gov doesn't do their job to inform people about covid shots, then other people need to. His comment was funny, but I actually know one friend who went to the pubs in England one night. He left his final pub to head home, when he suddenly saw a huge dude running at him at full speed. My friend is a pretty big dude, but he was about to defend himself from what looked like a confrontation from this larger man. The man then said, "you forgot your wallet".

Now, would that happen in an environment of anarchy where thugs are doing their thing? Not likely.

Not by much. The odds of anyone getting killed by a police officer are really low. The idea that cops are just out there gunning down black guys is a false rhetoric
