alabama hyundai factory using child labor
A Reuters review of the records shows SMART has been assessed with at least $48,515 in OSHA penalties since 2013, and was most recently fined this year. OSHA inspections at SMART have documented violations including crush and amputation hazards at the factory.

The plant, whose website says it has the capacity to supply parts for up to 400,000 vehicles each year, has also had difficulties retaining labor to keep up with Hyundai's demand.

So it has cost them about 1-2 cents per vehicle over the last decade.....I wouldn't expect this practice to change any time soon.

Alabama Is Business Friendly!

Now finding that child migrant labor was being used at several different Alabama manufacturing companies that supply parts to the Hyundai plant in Alabama.

Pretty shocking read if you can get through it.

In a world of 7.8 billion people, you spend an awful lot of your time worrying about approximately 3,311 individuals.

so there's 20 hungry workers and 20 break room donuts, one dood takes 19 and a half of them, and illy thinks the problem is that everybody else is just worrying about it too much.

Weird response.

I just think it's strange you worry about 3k billionaires so much, but can't situate your life in such a way that as a grown ass man you don't have to share a shitty apartment with another grown ass man.

If it were me, I'd be out there trying to improve my situation, rather than complain that so many others have better situations than you.

You are an educated white male. It doesn't get much easier than that. You're not oppressed.

not oppressed? He lives in one of the most expensive resort towns in the country. Oppression is his obsession.

I do wonder sometimes if he is jaded due to his location choice and all that comes with that. Key being...choice. Its what life's all about. Choices and consequences and/or opportunities of those choices.

His choice....appears to be choosing to live in an upscale, expensive as shit resort area while spending an amazing amount of his time role-playing as a keyboard warrior defending the defenseless. All without ever stepping out of the comfort of his resort surroundings to actually do anything to impact his causes....not locally, not at the state level, not nationally, not internationally. Although he did start a web page about the fraser River once....or claimed he did....so...theres that.

could you please just try to not personally obsess over me quite so much, please?

bonus points if you can get your homeboy illy to do the same.

or, if you really insist on putting so much effort into pointed personal putdowns, at least take it to the QT thread.

Ok.

In the interest of trying to be the bigger person and take the high road, please accept my apologies.

Could I try extending the olive branch?

I try to tell as many people as possible to avoid Wells Fargo as an institution. When fraud is a corporate policy that is rewarded, it would be wise to steer clear of them.
