Speaking of the IRS, this is GOOD news. A bunch of idiots they were trying to implement this $600 threshold.

IRS announces delay for implementation of $600 reporting threshold for third-party payment platforms’ Forms 1099-K

The IRS also noted that the existing 1099-K reporting threshold of $20,000 in payments from over 200 transactions will remain in effect.

"Mr. Maze"? Is that an assumption or something you know to be true for a fact?

Either way,

Prove to me that there hasn't been "global warming" on the planet Earth over the last 10,20,30 50,100+ years. Scientists (and non-scientists) have proven there has been and is. Whether you choose to believe it's "man made" or "natural" is up to you. I have a friend who when it's exceptionally cold - such as today - will say - "Global warming, huh" and laugh. I quickly point out that TODAY is a single day and that they are on one small place on this planet. I then point out that if they don't believe in Global warning because it's cold in Chicago today - that It's very hot some place else on the planet - such as 110 degrees in parts of Argentina and over 105 degrees in parts of Bolivia and Australia today - and ask, do those places not exist on Earth? I have tried to explain neither of our examples of where it's currently cold and/or hot really have anything to do with the entirety of the concept of global warming.

Yes, there has been censoring of the truth to stop misinformation. Just as there has been a lack of censorship to help spread misinformation. Right?

The Oxford Dictionary definition of Insurrection is... insurrection (against somebody/something) a situation in which a large group of people try to take political control of their own country with violence.
In other words, yes there can be an insurrection without weapons. Meanwhile......

If people such as yourself truly believe the Covid vaccination doesn't give a person "protection" then so be it. "Science" and factual evidence be damned.

Spending trillions or not, the deficit has fallen (been lowered) under Biden. Do you understand how the deficit works and how it's monitored? If you do, then you can comprehend how the USA can spend trillions and the deficit can be lowered.

While I believe men have a penis and women have a vagina, who is the ultimate decider if person has a penis they are a man or if a person has a vagina they are a woman? Shouldn't it be the person with the penis or vagina? Also, why does it matter to you and why should it matter to anyone else if a person identifies as a man or a woman?

I feel the need to share that I smiled when I read - "A bunch of idiots they were trying to implement this $600 threshold".
I assume you know it was Congress that voted on the "The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021" and Biden who signed it in to law.
So..... Please help me out. You feel it is the IRS who are a "bunch of idiots" for "trying to implement this $600 threshold" - and were going to enforce what was voted on by Congress and signed in to law by our President?

My business hires numerous subcontractors yearly and I am required by state tax laws to report any expenditures from $600 up to any of these subcontractors. I have three options: I can prepare a 1099 form for them, I can pay their taxes for them, or I can list each subcontractor's name and address on an attachment to my tax forms. I've been doing this for 27 years. I'm trying to figure out what the big deal is?

If people/businesses weren't using things like venmo and PayPal to avoid paying taxes then this wouldn't be an issue.

I don't much care for this post.

Today is Christmas Eve. This is no time for calm, reasoned discourse. This is the time for pure shittiness, as is customary.

If you can't be a petty, ignorant asshole, then please keep your opinion to yourself.

Thank you.

Why not? Feels like this board can solve the immigration crisis too while we are at it

Seriously though, it was easy to see how they would fail. No vaccine has ever been successful for the common cold. Covid is part of the common cold family. We were supposed to buy that they successfully came up with this in a matter of months? And we were supposed to believe that this new mRNA thing would work just fine? All I could see was risk and no chance of reward.

I wouldn't say its pure evil.

How do you treat intruders that break into your house? Do you serve them dinner and say hey come sit by the fire
