Nets are 19-7 since firing Steve Nash. Best record in the NBA over that period of time.

Grimes with the big game. Brunson was out, which is worth noting. Grimes starts anyway, Quickley replaced Brunson in the starting 5, but Grimes made the most of the additional available usage.

Will Embiid ever get an MVP? Or is living in the era of Jokic Luka and Giannis going to make it nearly impossible for him?

Embiid has come on strong. Is leading the league in points now. And Philly is winning games. I think for embiid to have a chance Philly is going to have to finish 1st in the east

Far surpassed what most of us thought he would achieve at the NBA level

Not so fast. Go back to my posts when he was here. You'll note I complained about the officiating which was clearly keeping him down. ; )

Riddle me this Batman.
Braun played 25 minutes last night. Took 1 shot and made it. Had 0 assists. Had 2 defensive rebounds.
What did he do for 25 minutes on offense other than take 1 shot - and turn the ball over once?

He helped his team beat one of the best teams in the East, in a game where they were 1.5pt underdogs.

He also apparently stayed the hell out of Jokic' way so that he could get another triple double.

Record wise, the Celtics are indeed currently the best team in the NBA. If they truly are the best team in the NBA right now, maybe the league has the parity it's been lacking?
The crazy thing to me is I honestly believe when Steph and Wiggins (and Iggy) come back, the currently 19-18 Warriors will be the best team in the league - and the not so crazy thing is today I believe the Nets are a better team than the Celtics.

Celtics were in the NBA finals last year and got better with the Brogdon acquisition. They have the best win differential in the league and that was without Robert Williams.

If, and big if, Timelord can stay healthy and get back to form, I like the Celtics this season.

Agree Celtics are one of the best for sure.

Bucks haven't been healthy, but they're right there too.

And the Nets are starting to look pretty scary. Jacque has them rolling since he took over.

I'd probably rank them (when/if healthy, which is a big IF for the warriors):

1. Warriors
2. Celtics
3. Nets
4. Bucks
5. Nuggets
6. Pelicans
7. Grizzlies
