All of these ideas are all creative but the simplest answer is a no contest and rank by winning percentage.

I believe CnB is implying an 8 team per conference playoff.
If not, that is the absolute stupidest horrible idea that i've heard yet.

I don't put it past the NFL to just make it 8 teams per conference this season and keep it that way for a few seasons before it becomes 10. They're just so undefeated right now. The crash is going to be something to watch if/when it comes.
