You can do it, but Tshiebwe isn't Dok.

So you need good players besides just one great player to win it all?
Got it.
Got it.
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Isn’t Tsiebwe reigning player of the year tho?

we play at kentucky in a few weeks. i'll refrain from rubbing their nose in it until after that game.
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
For that matter, dunno how much you can fault a coach for building a team around a reigning POY either
But whatever, lol at Cal and UK

Yea, after how last year went, watch them pick our game as the one they finally look like a contender full of a bunch of NBA players in waiting.
Now somebody go ahead and roiboi meter me up.

Painter's 18th season at Purdue running the same type of personnel out there. 1 Elite Eight.
Few's at least started to recruit the NBA talent, but he only has like 1-2 different scripts for each of his seasons.

I think Calipari is a top 5 coach in college basketball.

Of course, and I posted earlier that I still wouldn't be shocked if they make a Final Four. They have to change things up, though.

if the end result from last year holds true, i wouldn’t care less if they win
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I'll forever believe that that game really helped us. Wake up call for the players and Bill realized we needed to get some scoring from our 1 spot.KUTradition wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 1:39 pmif the end result from last year holds true, i wouldn’t care less if they win

Was that game before or after our “1 spot” posted back to back goose eggs, went like over a month without a free throw, etc.
It was either a comment like that, or a FYP changing it to “and Bill realized we needed to get Remy healthy and/or out of the doghouse”
But either way, it’s so nice to see Dajuan hitting some shots now.

he’s gotten confident enough to take the shots he’s been getting left open for over the past couple years…and then someousdahl wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 2:17 pm Was that game before or after our “1 spot” posted back to back goose eggs, went like over a month without a free throw, etc.

I would guess players for sure. One of those, maybe we should listen to this old guy, and then just buying in and trusting each other.KUTradition wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 2:24 pmi wonder whether it impacted the players more than SelfCrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 1:41 pmI'll forever believe that that game really helped us. Bill's no dummy, he knew there was an issue, otherwise he wouldn't have recruited both Remy and Yes. We forget, but Jalen also had his head in his ass for a long time last season.

He took 5 in the first half against WVU, though. Let's dial that back a tad.KUTradition wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 2:25 pmhe’s gotten confident enough to take the shots he’s been getting left open for over the past couple years…and then someousdahl wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 2:17 pm Was that game before or after our “1 spot” posted back to back goose eggs, went like over a month without a free throw, etc.

Hopefully he will start to keep the defenses more honest, though.

As long as he's hitting 50%, I have no problem with the volumeCrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 2:38 pmHe took 5 in the first half against WVU, though.
