It's the only choice that makes sense, in a Kinfucky sorta way.jhawks99 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 3:36 pmScott Drew to ukhoopla wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 3:05 pmthere is UK fans' exhibit A for the Cal-hate. you gotta do much better with that much talent for that long. should also serve as a cautionary tale for TX, but i'd love for him to go to Austin when they join SEC and get beat down by KY under a competent coach twice a year.twocoach wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 1:47 pm
"His recruiting classes started taking a "dip" way before NIL when K took hold of USA basketball and Nike."
This makes zero sense. Coach K was made head coach of the USA national team back in 2005 and coached the Olympics in 08, 12 and 16. Cal didn't even start at UK until 2009.
His basketball class rankings on 24/7 since then (their site only goes back to 2011):
2011: 1
2012: 1
2013: 1
2014: 2
2015: 1
2016: 2
2017: 2
2018: 2
2019: 2
2020: 1
2021: 2
2022: 5
alternately, KY hires the guy that sucks and that's a poopshow too. its just fun to watch the soap operas, these cliffhangers leave me guessing...

Cal’s kitties down at half at home against the fighting Martinsteins. Gave up 42 first half.

Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
this is embarrassing for uk and the returning POY
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Ah, yea.
As soon as I said it, I then wondered if Frank was still there. Go figure. Thanks for the correction.
Either way, go cocks! Just went up 11 at the under 4

Really makes you appreciate what we have and have done. Same story when watching UNC this year.
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Wasn’t UK at least good for most of last year tho?
UNC was pretty mediocre for much of last year til they just so happened to win 5 games at the right time, so their continued mediocrity is maybe a little more understandable

For sure. We've had a long run of good coaching hires.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 7:51 pm Really makes you appreciate what we have and have done. Same story when watching UNC this year.
I still think Hubert is the right man for the job @ UNC. He's a good dude. Worked under a legendary coach for a long time.

Agree with this, UK was better and UNC struggled through the year.
But, can you imagine a Bill Self team that returned the core, like 3-4 starters from a national runner-up team ever falling out of the rankings the next season? He'd be more likely to go 40-0.
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
So badly coached.

With the cocks trying their best to loose it, too.
That’s also worth a mention. They’re an SEC bottom feeder. It’s not like UK is loosing at home to top teams.
Cocks now a whopping 3-29 in Rupp

At this rate, Cal might not make it to the end of the season
