COVID-19 - On the Ground
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Boy and their toys... apparently Jeremy Renner managed to run himself over with his own snowcat.

Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Just the first I heard about the detail that the stupid thing rolled over him because he didn't stick it in park before getting out. Just struck me as ridiculous.Overlander wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 6:55 pmFresh out of your cave?twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 1:24 pm Boy and their toys... apparently Jeremy Renner managed to run himself over with his own snowcat.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
welp!
after managing to personally avoid this thread for 3 straight years, guess who has to sit out the covered wagon challenge today after all.
and for real, we've been dealing with this shit for 3 years now? I dunno whether to phrase that as, "3 whole years?!" or as "how has it only been 3 years?!"
either way, guess the silver lining is, I finally get to post this song here:

It finally got me. First time (as far as I know). So happy to have avoided the more dangerous variants and to have the benefit of the vaccines and lessons learned from those who got it before me. It seems I get to watch basketball and football all weekend.
If you are interested: It has been 4.5 months since I had the bivalent booster. My nose is running and I’ve had a fever.

My 1 year old granddaughter was just diagnosed with norovirus. Her big sister got a fever this morning.

I'd love to drive a Snowcat. I'd love having so much money that "hey, honey, I bought a Snowcat" wouldn't get me divorced or institutionalized. And I'd love to live somewhere where there was so much snow that owning a Snowcat seems like a good idea.KUTradition wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 12:28 pmdude had to have reconstructive surgery on his chest, which was partially crushed by the 14K+ lb snowplowtwocoach wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 1:24 pm Boy and their toys... apparently Jeremy Renner managed to run himself over with his own snowcat.

But a 14,000 lb. Snowcat has a "fuck around and find out" amount of learning curve to it. I am glad he survived his brain fart and that his kid doesn't have to grow up without her Dad.
Too many adult aged boys fuck up their lives or worse while playing with fun toys. Cars, guns, boats, airplanes, the list is endless.

There was a boat crash on a river NW of Coeur d’Alene last summer:
https://www.krem.com/article/news/local ... 97eb5de38e
Drunk guys driving a catamaran hull and losing control. Decapitated 2 of them.
I shit you not, one of my clients sent me a video of he and his family boating down stream a few weeks later, and one of those missing heads floated up to their boat.
I have it on my phone, creepy as fuck.

Also sorry (less) of how shitty of a weekend it must have been for you to watch KU and the Bills.

If it was a photo, it would look fake.
In video, no question it is real
