I really like Yes. He hasn't done much yet, but I do think that if he can drive it more, it should open up shots for others. Not sure why Dajuan has been struggling so much lately.

Yesefu needs to be unleashed. He would get pulled out of games and lose playing time for making mistakes and taking bad shots. So he lost his aggressiveness trying to blend into the ball movement scheme of the offense. But we desperately need his quick burst and penetration

Dajuan struggles cause big 12 opponents know exactly who he is. Hes not that naturally talented/gifted. Ive grown to really like him, but we need other players to step up to compliment dajuan so dajuan can stick to his game and doing what he does best. Hes a really good role player. But he doesn't have the tools to be the man, the lead playmaker in the backcourt. He needs help.

Yesefu is the guy best equipped to do that

Yesufu and Bobby aren't all that equipped to do anything either. That's the problem. Our little guards lack high end talent. We are used to NBA caliber PGs.

Plays too much. Needs a backup—has been better here when he’s had one and played fewer minutes. Haven’t found one on this roster. Yet, I hope.

man, it's some sorta paradox

how often is the perceived cause of a team's struggles cuz an upperclassman returning starter "plays too much," and that he "needs a backup" to be better?

if one could candidly ask Self what I suppose is some question of system philosophy, I wonder which he'd really rather have:

- 2 legit PGs/lead guards who can effectively share minutes

- just 1 guy he can reliably throw out there 40+ minutes a night?

See 2008 and 2022 National Championship teams.

2008
Mario 30 mpg
RussRob 27 mpg
Sherron 24 mpg

2022
Juan 29 mpg
Remy 21 mpg

I think that's what he ultimately wants.

I'll take 37 minutes of Frank Mason and 3 minutes of Evan Manning over 29 Juan and 21 Remy.

Then don't take any additional championships :)

Well in this hypothetical, I also get Ochai, Braun, DMac, Jalen Wilson, Lightfoot, KJ and Clemence.

I never understood why frank Mason played that much his senior year. He would often looked gased at the end of the game. 37 minutes is tough for anybody. Trim those minutes down slightly

Junior year devonte Graham was on that team for fucks sake. And bill still played frank 37 minutes a game

Heavy usage and physical opponents taking a toll on KU point guard Dajuan Harris' offensive production

If only Self had a defender that likes to pick up full court and can be enough of a pest to tire the other team out...

Yesefu came out and gave us 2 minutes. An airballed three and got burnt off the dribble. Jeesh
