Brian McBride. Gone.
Earnie Stewart. Gone.

A new day for US Soccer soon. Time to stop being content with just qualifying and barely squeaking into the Round of 16. Go for more.

That being said, Jose Mourinho would be equal parts horrifying, electric and a new era for US Soccer. He won't do it, but it would still be an absolute blast.

Might have a hard time getting a preferred name. Seems like there could be rot in the core. So much in fighting.

Yep.
This whole Ernie Stewart, Renyas and Berhalter mess just is a peak into the drama.
It's why Klinsmann got screwed and freaking Bruce Arena was back in action.

Yeah they won't get a preferred name. They'll get an MLS coach who is doing well for the first couple years at the least and then see how they do before making a decision before the World Cup gets closer.

Curtin with Philly and Schmetzer with Seattle are the best MLS guesses. Hugo Perez, former USMNT player and current El Salvador coach might be a darkhorse candidate.

I just don't want it to be a coach who failed in the Swedish 2nd division and was fired for "lack of attacking play". Seem familiar?? That's all I want.

Would people consider Joachim Low?
Would he consider us?

Yes
Probably not in 2023 but maybe 2024 or 2025. Probably doesn't want to do a 4 year thing.

I thought that was fun but it really screwed over the team that tied and then lost the shoot out in the regular season.

I remember being at Arrowhead with 7000 people there, on the 50 yard line just a few rows up, for like 20 bucks a ticket, and watching a few of those tie breakers.

You could generally go to a game, buy GA tickets for I dunno, 10 bucks, and just move down to the endless empty seats.

US hosting 2024 Copa America.

Big news. 6 Concacaf teams and 10 Conmebol teams.

That's very cool.
And fantastic news to give a surge to our World Cup 26 team.

( USA also gets to go to the 2024 Olympics, the first Olympics in a long while )

Everyone knows this, they just deny that part of it.

The US men and federation kinda had no choice because they’d look like whatever awful term would be given them for not agreeing with something that really wasn’t true.

I’ve been watching a bit of the Current game today. Of all sports that have a men’s and women’s version that is televised, this is the most palatable to me.

More space due to lack of speed creates a bit more excitement, but overall slowness in comparison is my biggest nah.

I imagine this is what men’s sports may have looked like before the athletes got bigger and stronger. They’d still all kick my ass on the pitch, but I’m just spectating.

This has to be Vermes last season.
He was fantastic for KC but it's time to move on.

About to score 20 goals in Ligue 1. Went toe to toe with Mbappe for top goal scorer in that league. Just 21. He's about as true of a 9 as the US has had in a long time.

I think he gets selected immediately for the Gold Cup. US will use it as a recruiting tool for sure. Select us and get selected for national team immediately.

A forward 3 of Pulisic, Balogun and Weah could be very good. Coupled with the MAM midfield of Musah, Adams and McKennie. Boy howdy.

The US is doing some things.
