It's not a snub imo, just how the fan voting works since it's 50%. Same way you end up with Wiggins starting last year.

Fwiw, he'll end up starting since KD is currently injured.

It's crazy how loaded the NBA is right now with top end talent.

Embiid is a generational talent and may not even be a top 3 player in the league this year with as good as some of the other guys are playing.

KD is "currently" injured. Will he be injured on February 19th?

Vaughn realizing he's not such a great coach without KD. Of course most coaches wouldn't be such a great coach without KD.

Just read Och received 4 all star votes from players. I wonder who the 4 are. My guess is teammates and/or former Jayhawks.

Buddy of mine posted this (see below) last night. Realize the people who responded are not KU fans so of course some if not most who responded felt my buddy is nuts. Is he?

"Just watched Sixers Nuggets game. Gutter Years ago you predicted Joel Embiid would be the next Hakeem Olajuwon. I thought you were crazy. At the time Embiid was hurt all the time. My question is: Who is better now? I know Olajuwon won rings but I think Embiid is better. Other opinions?"

This was my response.....

"As Todd alluded to - they are/were different players in different eras. No doubt both are/were beasts. I can't say definitively which I think is/was better mainly because both bring/brought different skills to the table and played against different players - and Embiid is only 28 years old. I think Hakeem was 38 or 39 or 40 when he retired. Let me have another 10 years to assess Embiid. Nothing wrong with people just saying both Embiid and Hakeem are/were great players and leaving it at that".
