West Va 21!?

They're freaking 12-8 and 2-6 in conference play. Have played home against Baylor, KU, Texas and TCU and went 1-3 against those teams. Goodness. What are we doing here?

Wonder if the big12 teams get a an advantage within the formulas because we have a small conference and play everyone twice?

Well, yes, but only if all teams in said conference are decent to elite.
If you have two or three bottom feeders, like other conferences do, that would f things up, but we don't.
( i.e. a Nebraska or Mississippi )

In West Virginia's particular case, they have one of the worst Luck rankings in Kenpom, meaning if you look at their strength of schedule and compare it to their points for and against, they should statistically have a better record than they have. This is probably bolstered from a few close looses to some good B12 teams.

I've always said the NCAA tournament is not the greatest at determining the best team but is the most entertaining. In the past, the JimWest's of the world would chuckle at the B12 not doing well in the tournament, which was all sorts of eye roll for me. Now he has no legs to stand on as there have been B12 teams in every Final Four since 2018 and two ( three ) champions.

Top 10 matchup on the plus lol.

I guess that’s cuz when they schedule these things, the kitties were still perceived as a dumpster fire?

I’m still not convinced they’re actually as good as their ranking suggests tho.

Also when was the last time KU looses a game but goes up in the rankings the next week?

Normally that treatment is only reserved for teams that loose to KU, not the other way around

It just feels weird thinking the kitties with a brand new coach are gonna end up like a 2 or 3 seed.

I mean, he basically flipped that entire roster.

CBB is much easier to have a season like this compared to any other collegiate sport. You really need about 7 damn good players and you'll be fine. He kept Nowell and that was about it and everybody else is new.

I would have said that KU -5 sounds right. I think we're a couple points better on a neutral floor.

You also have 350 teams to choose from to make a cupcake noncon to help develop your players.

I'm going KU in a classic kitties beatdown.
