In other words…took the Eagles’ best shot (offensively anyway).
Hurts was fantastic for the vast majority of the game. KC was just a little better that day. Every part of the team did a little something to help KC get over the top. Offense, defense, special teams, coaching. Everyone had a hand in this victory.
even the refs
lol
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
If Orlando Brown or JuJu had shown to be all pro players like some thought they could be, we might be sweating some but I dunno if you pay either and we will be OK.
Brown prob shoulda taken the contract offered shock woulda made him a top 3 paid tackle on average but instead gambled for more guarantees.
I'm just wondering if the Chiefs will pay Chris Jones. I'm about 60/40 that Sunday was the last game he's played in a Chiefs uniform. Which sucks, but if they can trade him for multiple picks to an NFC team that needs to rebuild their defense (cough cough Lions), then I think they might pull the trigger.
Chris Jones is quite different than a overspend on Frank Clark who only had one good season. We know for certain what Jones brings, he’s brought it for a while.
I’m fine with paying one of the top 10 defenders in the league.
If the draft haul was immense though you’d have to listen. But the convo wouldn’t even start without 2 1sts, one this draft, 1 next.
Your Lions example would work. Get the Lions 6th overall and a 4th round this season, their 2024 1st and 2nd. Then I’m in.
Frank Clark however, despite some resurgence in the playoffs, will need a major restructure if he wants to stay bc that’s 21 million in cap savings right there.
“ “Hell of a game for ya’ll,” says Mahomes, who was not sacked once by the team that led the NFL with 70 of them this season. “Way to (bleeping) step up and keep me in the pocket.”

This is remarkable.
KC needed their offensive line, their linebackers and the special teams units to all have excellent games and they all did. Felt like the KU national title in that everyone had important contributions to the win.
