Honestly, Park.

People thought Japhy was your best sock, but even in its heyday, it wasn't even close to this one.
The good news is that all the bestest socks are on your team!

Yeah! Go Team!

The Republican Party’s top priority should be to fill this void with an inspiring national identity
Wow, that is inspirational shit right there. Randy loves him so that should say something.

This desire for unity through "national identity", and using the word "diversity" as though it is a bad thing is interesting. I find the diversity of my community is what makes it interesting and vibrant. But then I can see how the celebration of our diversity has caused a rift between the majority of our society and those fixated on a white male Christian supremacist past.

Make America great again....when was this time of greatness and how do you define greatness?

From whose perspective should greatness be described?

And "woke"....give me a succinct description of "woke" and a specific example of how it has caused decline in our "nation"?

Should our national identity be defined by a minority ideology?

Unity through the exclusion does not seem like unity at all.

But you asked for condescension so....

MAGA smothered in chutney is "diverse" from MAGA smothered in catsup. That's gonna bother some of the base. Annie Coulter has already told at least one of the new generation of culture war heroes to "go back where you came from". Vivek seems like a guy who has the self confidence to tell the base he has all of the answers. The base loves them some simple answers and a take charge, pulled himself up by his sandal straps individualist.

Wait, make that boot straps....no; cowboy boot straps!

YeeHaw muthafuckah!

Woke ism has created a divide in this country like nothing we've seen in hundreds of years. All anyone sees now is race, gender, sexual identity, etc. Its called identity politics.

Wokism is a deliberately divisive tactic used to control and manipulate people. Hate you neighbor and focus on your differences. Instead of realizing most people are all good people and have a lot in common. The political ruling class has infringed on our freedoms and rights so much its ridiculous. They want us divided so we don't come together and do something about that

Um, that's pretty much what being woke is. There's no partisanship in being woke.

I need more information, this is great. How have I been a victim of wokeism?

What rights of mine have been infringed upon?

As I said earlier, I see all of my neighbors differences and I find them fascinating. It's the differences that draw me to them and therefore bring us together. I find you fascinating and keep asking you questions.

Do you hate me? I don't feel hatred towards you.

I guess “woke” as it’s used here, in the urban dictionary sense, is defined as something like, “aware of social issues, injustice, bias, double standards, bigotry, etc.”

Go figure it’s so controversial.

"Wokeism" didn't create divisions. It is the current manifestation of divisions that have existed in the West for 350 years and have been unofficially recognized for 250 years (or so). The expression of these divisions takes different forms every 50-70 years. The current iteration -- "woke" -- was principally inspired by Marcuse's obsession with racial and sexual minorities as the vehicles for cultural revolution but is nearing its end stages.

What form the divisions will take next is both unknowable and fascinating to consider. For the first time since the Enlightenment, society (and the Left especially) appears to lack the intellectual firepower to do much of any consequence, which may well signal the final triumph of Max Striner's "ego."

Randy turn off twitter? Well OK, most of his complaints do seem to be tied to his twitter feed.

Unfortunately the brown-ness of Nimrata and Vivek is a bridge too far for a critical mass of the Republican base to vote for, regardless of the (lack of) merits of Vivek’s positions. His candidacy will be no more than a novelty and allow Republicans to claim “See, we have brown people too!”

Cf. Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Tim Scott, Kanye West.

I mean...you're the one who insists on calling her by her first name to make a racialist point.

Don't be pissy that 100% of the announced Republican candidates that have never been president before are Indian-American. Your party is running out of old segregation supporters, so it's only a matter of time before you'll have to elect someone else.
