The point is the standard of living in the US has been falling off decade after decade. The cost of food homes educations is inflating muchhhh higher than wages. Taxes continue to rise.

Many Americans don't have any savings and struggle pay check to pay check.

Fixing that is a much bigger problem than Ukraine/Russias bullshit

Not to mention the "why is Ukraines border more important than our own"
I can't get over how dumb this is.
By what metric has standard of living gone down?
What taxes rose?
I'm not going to explain basic economics to you. You realize that the prices of education, housing, food, are inflating much quicker than wages, and thats been going on in this country for decades right

And new taxes and fees have been added/increasing on everything too
Real wages have gone up over the decades:

Food prices have dropped over the decades compared to wages: https://images.app.goo.gl/7aRCYYUzBmzkJp8z7

Four year University costs are up, sure.

Tax rates are near their lowest in the last 90ish years.

Shhhhh, Mj,,,,,,they haven’t covered it on Faux News yet. No one can point to what tax has gone up for a family making under $250k/y except for those resulting from lost State and local tax deduction. And the Republicans raised that.

I have no idea how basic economics work, therefore, I have no knowledge of how to explain it to you.

Now look. I'm not an economics knower.

But an economic environment where (1) unemployment is low, (2) real wages are rising, (3) real food costs are decreasing and (4) four-year education is getting more expensive (squeezing demand for the same downward)...would seem to be...(whispers)...an environment that anti-elite populists like.

Don't get me wrong, real food costs are rising the last two years. I was addressing his claims that these things have been going the wrong direction for decades

It's sad to be so glad that republicans are suddenly being less fascist.

2024, anyone?

Senate Republicans call Tucker Carlson's report on Jan. 6, "Bullsh&t!"

dumb
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

The problem isn't whether Tucker believes what Tucker says, the problem is the 3 million viewers who believe him.

What's nuts is it seemed like that was Mich's defense of Tucker. As if it makes it better somehow.

Here's why it matters. In spite of everything Fox is admitting, and Jenna Elis admitted yesterday in her court hearing, these people are in charge of elections. And they aren't listening to any of what is being said.

You hate to see it:

Prosecutors Signal Criminal Charges for Trump Are Likely

The former president was told that he could appear before a Manhattan grand jury next week if he wishes to testify, a strong indication that an indictment could soon follow.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office recently signaled to Donald J. Trump’s lawyers that he could face criminal charges for his role in the payment of hush money to a porn star, the strongest indication yet that prosecutors are nearing an indictment of the former president, according to four people with knowledge of the matter.

The prosecutors offered Mr. Trump the chance to testify next week before the grand jury that has been hearing evidence in the potential case, the people said. Such offers almost always indicate an indictment is close; it would be unusual for the district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, to notify a potential defendant without ultimately seeking charges against him.

In New York, potential defendants have the right to answer questions in the grand jury before they are indicted, but they rarely testify, and Mr. Trump is likely to decline the offer. His lawyers could also meet privately with the prosecutors in hopes of fending off criminal charges.
