Once again, this doesn't make him a "bad person" per se but he was dumb enough to get himself arrested in China and basically get booted off his college team. He hasn't played in the NBA. To me, based on his father's hype for him, that = "dud".

Tough for me to give you a definitive yes or no. Without giving it much thought......
Do I think he loves his kids and has provided for them? Yes. That makes him a good father in my eyes/mind.
Do I think he has pimped out his kids and has used them for HIS advantage? Yes. That makes him a bad father in my eyes/mind.
