Welcome Marcus Adams Jr.
Re: Welcome Marcus Adams Jr.
How’s the Internet Wayback Machine work, anyway? Can I pull up the boreds from 1984 or whatever, and find KU fans complaining about Danny Manning picking KU because we hired Ed?

Reminds me of Wayne Selden.
I like those uniforms too.

Exactly. Shit has been shady for years. Anyone still holding out hope for "ethical" collegiate athletics is just kidding themselves.

WIth Marcus Adams Jr, I'm envisioning some combo of Marcus Morris and KJ Adams Jr...should be a heck of a get.

Those jerseys are something you’d get out of a 7th grade graphic design class.

Had a game where he made 11 3's and another one he made 13 3's. Here's hoping he makes the transition from high school to P5 quickly.

Re: Welcome Marcus Adams Jr.
i'm not going to bother to learn this kids name until his second year. if he has a second year.
Re: Welcome Marcus Adams Jr.
I guess he couldn't handle Self...
Re: Welcome Marcus Adams Jr.
So tired of this notion that, if I’m not The Man from day one, I need to go elsewhere. If he didn’t already know that Self would expect him to learn to play defense and earn playing time, that’s on him. Sheesh.

Re: Welcome Marcus Adams Jr.
Just a guess based in on listening to the Lightfoot-Teahan podcast - I am guessing it was moreso not being to handle Self than playing time. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often

example # 21 why I don’t bother to learn their names until their year 2.

My older son played D1 football and contends that it is impossible to anticipate the shock that comes with the change in level of intensity moving from high school to college. You survive, essentially.
I’m guessing Self doesn’t put up with soft kids. I’ve also read that Adams showed up carrying some extra weight and was out of shape. That would make things even worse.

Or you could admit that you don't know what the circumstances are and leave it be and wish the kid well. Not sure what he did to you.JKLivin wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 1:46 pm My older son played D1 football and contends that it is impossible to anticipate the shock that comes with the change in level of intensity moving from high school to college. Defense. Rebounds.
