I like Clemence. I liked Enaruna.
But sometimes these guys are just in a little over their head. Enaruna never would have played serious minutes here imo. He hasn't progressed much since arriving in Lawrence.
Clemence also appears to have a significant uphill climb to playing serious minutes. Magnified by the fact I think Udeh and Zuby are both significantly better and more equipped to play the 5...and unfortunately for Zach, he is not nearly mobile enough to play the 4 next to a traditional big.
Clemence is a great kid. If he LOVES KU and wants to stay, he should be allowed. But if he wants to be a main piece on a college basketball team then KU probably doesn't give him the same opportunity as a mid major or less elite power 5 school will.

Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
Reluctantly decided to accept tickets for Session 5 of the Big 10 Tournament.
To me, this is messed up.....
There are 4 teams that aren't playing until the 3rd day of the tournament.
Anyways, I am assured I will see Northwestern play either Penn State or Illinois - and see Indiana play either Maryland, Minnesota, or Nebraska.
Northwestern/Illinois in Chicago could be fun. Any of the other possibilities, ZERO interest and I will be watching whatever other tournament game/s are on TV at that time.

In a game no one cared about.....
Check out how DePaul beat Seton Hall.
Hall was up 4 with 7 seconds left. DePaul made a layup. Cut it to 2 points.
Seton Hall turned the ball over with 5 seconds left.
Kid on DePaul was fouled shooting a 3.
Makes all 3 free throws to go up 1.
Kid on Hall blocked trying to make a layup at the buzzer.
Refs call it a basket (goal tending).
Refs review it. No Basket.

Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
Adams resigned as Tech HC. Reports are Tech players said they would transfer if he stayed. That’s a top 4 job in the new Big 12 with the money they pour into basketball, the big arena that has been filled a lot lately and a fairly loyal fan base.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they have a mid major up and comer the job. Paul Mills, Wes Miller, McCasland or Kim English could be called.

If I remember right, he was hired partly bc he was a player favorite. Not anymore I guess.

Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
actually...
if the offensive player gets the shot off in time, and the buzzer sounds, and the defensive player (hypothetically) partially blocks it BUT the ball still goes in anyway...does that count?
pretty sure it wouldn't, right?

Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
I'm pretty sure it would.
I believe a shot clock violation only applies to the offense - i.e. the shooter.

Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
Shot clock it would count. Game clock it would not.
Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
yea, game clock hitting zeros with ANY player touching it would be a dead ball
Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
Section III—End of Period
Each period ends when time expires.
EXCEPTIONS:
If a field goal attempt is in flight toward the basket when the horn sounds ending a period, and it subsequently is touched by: (a) a defensive player, the goal, if successful, shall count; or (b) an offensive player, the period has ended.

Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
oh, interesting.
I guess that makes sense too, and offense friendly. you don't wanna reward defense after the clock expires either
or a goaltender

UM Blue busses across the street. Was tempted to run out there and say fuck you for 2013 - but none of them had anything to do with it.

Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
No, EJ was mostly responsible.
Re: 22-23 NCAA Basketball Season
If the ball leaves his hand before a shot clock violation and before the game clock sounds then it would count, even if the game clock sounded between the shot leaving his hand and the defensive player partially blocking it. The shot attempt is allowed to go to completion if it leaves the shooter's hand in time.

Lumpkin out at TCU accusing the coaching staff of racist behavior.
Defense. Rebounds.
